It’s got nothing to do with late, if he wants to come to Miami he literally has no reason not to.

Any excuse made as to why he wasn’t gonna sign with us was nothing but an excuse.

It simply comes down to what Coach Maeux has been feeding into his head, if Shemar doesn’t sign with us it’s because Coach Maeux convinced him not to...
Finally someone else says it

ATM has stooopid money. Like UGA and Bama are poor money. I said it weeks ago but I found out about 10 years ago and was stunned to find out how deep that school roles. Their alumni are rolling Standford and Harvard deep, except they love football.
That’s cool but look how long they’ve had that kinda money? And what has it bought them in terms of results?

Forever. And they haven't won anything since 1000 BC

It’s never going to be easy.

I’ve explained this probably a 100 times on these boards to deaf ears lol...

In order to recruit at Bama/UGA OH ST etc levels it will cost upwards of $25mill-30mill a year for at least 5 years straight in order to have a roster with 40+ 5-stars. TAMU cracked open the vault this class & have always recruited well, but this class & the next they’re upping the ante.

There’s an alternative, it’s realistic to expect to be able recruit on those levels especially for a small program like ours that has never really spent money, but you can still find a way to win games & compete for conference titles with excellent evals, player development & yes the dreaded X’s & O’s (which I know yall hate lol)...

There’s a wide gap between the powerhouse programs that spend astronomical amounts of money & the programs that simply lean into their culture & place the emphasis on coaching their way to competitiveness.

Pitt doesn’t spend half the money that Clemson does, yet they still won 11 games & the ACC last year, same with OK ST, they’re not as much of a cash cow as Texas, TAMU etc, yet they still won 12 games & the Big XII, Utah doesn’t spend much money on football either but they still won the Pac-12, were they playoff teams? No, but they all had more success than they’ve experienced in years & they’re headed in the right direction as programs.

Miami fans just need to stop always trying to have a “Bama or bust” mentality, we’re never going to recruit on that level or be in the CFP every year like them either, but as long as we’re competitive & contending for the ACC on an annual basis that’s more than enough, it’s certainly a **** of a lot better than what we’ve been for the last two decades.
agreed. and building good classes upon good classes will lead to an exceptional year where anything is possible. this is a long term re-build, but we need to get the momentum started, which i think we have

💯 that guy gives off all the wrong vibes

Exactly homie. Brands matter. UM is a much stronger brand than TAMU. It has been for a while. In terms of brand staying power, Adidas typically will pay more than Nike for NBA endorsements but guess what is the top tier brand? Nike. We may not have TAMU money but if we win games and develop at a high level, and upgrade our facilities, we got this. We won’t need to overcompensate by giving 25-30 mil per class. We’re ******* UM. Everyone sees which players have been getting the gold jackets recently.. it ain’t been Texas oil or rancher money players. Nuff said.

Sure but that’s neither here nor there. Also, they are all in on Jimbo aka the cuck and I know people like to point to 4 losses but he did lose his starting qb and the year before did go 12-1 and a top 5 finish. ATM has never been a crazy dirty school, I say crazy because no school is clean. With NIL ready to roll, they finally can make the attempt to climb into the upper echelon of CFB. They were always in UT’s shadow because UT is the state school but look at the list. No school has more Fortune 500 CEOs than that **** hole, and it is a **** hole. They are ready to fvck right now. The way I looked at it, it’s better then than schools closer to us. Plus in the end maybe Shemar cucks Jimbo, who knows…

I guess like for me I want dominance and I'm asking for too much. I would hate to be little Pitt with a few NFL studs. I think the 00 canes spoiled me but your probably right.....not probably u are right. My expectations way too unrealistic **** sucks we won't be those guys again. Hey life goes on.....we talked about spending and the sec slapped us lol. There is no way within at least 4 years from now Jimbo wins a Natty there.

Edit:. U are the guy I respect on here no bs from u and I'm glad u got my brain in the right place cause I was being unrealistic.
We can be better than Pitt because we have access to a greater wealth of recruiting talent.

I used Pitt, Utah, etc as examples to show there’s a middle ground between being Bama/UGA & Arizona/Vandy lol.

I wanna win Natty’s too, but just because we don’t win a Natty every year doesn’t mean it’s a fail.

I’ll take being a perennial 10-12 win team with top 10 recruiting classes over being a perennial 7-5 team.

L$U caught lighting in a bottle in one year, won a natty and they’re still benefiting from it. That’s where we should realistically hold our standards. Make the CFP every other year and potentially a Natty appearance every 4 years. But we can’t recruit like Bama and UGA to be on their level every year.

I agree with u but where we disagree is an area u can debate there isn't proof I guess I could say. I believe imo (it's not a fact) that if we lose these demons to the sec yearly we won't be a perennial 10-12 win team. That's the only disconnect I have but at the same time your right but I don't think we can get there without those kids. Unless u have the goat evaluator and even then with all the services it's hard to hide monsters.
