Lol god **** this dude is trolling us so ******* hard if he doesn’t pick us. Like what’s even the point of deleting all your Instagram stuff and replacing it with Miami if you don’t pick us?
Because he did that after his other visits as well

(Regarding NIL deals) Thats just the thing though. When the wording came out with the new NIL laws, wording also contained was ‘of fair market value.’ I know that is obviously subjective, but seemingly, there can be a ‘cap.’

If an app owner or local business wants to advertise, using college athletes, what would he pay a person fair market value to be in an ad for them? If $1M?…great. $500K? Great. But fair market value for the NIL dollars invested has to be in play. That is part of the compliance of the whole thing.

I think, if the business’ were there, Miami kids are probably in a position to demand higher advertising payments than, for example, a town like Madison, WI. (i’m just using this college town as an example) The economy in a city like Miami is much higher and robust than smaller college towns.

I think NIL is still in its early stages. But it seems if Miami area business’ can get on board, not with UM’s help, but rather someone directly representing the kids, our local kids stand a chance to make significantly more than other kids from smaller towns. Because fair market value is probably higher in Miami than some podunk town in the middle of Soit’s Carolina, for instance.
they spent 30 million on the recruiting class it was reported right. if what your saying is true tho then you saying texas and texas A M going to get the hammer.

also most these NIL deals are going to be for boosters that have car dealership and so on. they going to be doing commericals. they show there profits and boom they gotta around that. Ruiz on the other hand is just starting company

I don't know anything about anything, but with Kevin Steele as the new DC hire...I mean, as far as scheme goes, Shemar Stewart is perfect in that 43 Under. I'm just saying.

Agreed.

For instance, part of the car dealerships advertising budget is for NIL. And if, within that budget, fair market value can be shown as having been allotted and paid to NIL, then in that sense, they are compliant.

I feel you on this but from another perspective….
Let’s say you’re Shemar. You’re being told by Jimbo that A&M is the best place for you, you’ll get playing time, we’ll give you this great NIL opportunity, etc… looking at the past two classes alone on the DL there’s about 10 4* or higher kids they’ve signed not including yourself. It’s one thing to bet on yourself because you think you’re better, but at some point you have to realize that there’s only a certain amount of snaps in a game and Ole Jimbo has made the same promise to you as he did to those other 10 DL players regarding playing time.
So when Miami is back to pumping out first rounders and is stacked at positions, this will work for you?

I guess it’ll be interesting to see what happens. But, for those school’s sake, hopefully they are vetted as compliant. (But I wouldn’t hate jimbo getting hammered)

I’m assuming that the numbers being thrown out there for a&m ($30M) is made up of many many of those area businesses…not simply 1 or 2. That would make the many payments, that total $30M, as fair market, not something crazy.

But I really do believe we‘ve only begun to see where this thing goes.

If marketed properly (& probably better), handlers like Moe could’ve sold off Shemar to many many more area businesses in Miami for NIL, rather than some smaller towns. (More car dealerships,Publixes, restaurants, tourist areas and spots in Miami than college station or Athens) Fair market value would obviously dictate that.

Put on tape of Akron Davidson and that front from auburn a couple years ago. If he still doesn’t want to come then bye bye

Publix isn't paying a college DE with golds. They're conservative AF

So Shemar/Moe officially can't use the no DC excuse tomorrow or 3-4 excuse. Who knows what Mario told him this past weekend but we just hired a top DC who plays an aggressive 4-3 defense. Shemar would feast in this type of defense but we will see if the Jumbo oil/snake money wins out.

Steele runs a 4-2-5 and that’s apparently what has been said we will run
