Seniors draft status now?

I wouldnt be surprised if ODonnell went much higher than most are anticipating. Maybe 4th or 5th. Kid has an absolute BOOT. That monster he blasted in the UVa game was a thing of beauty. He's the best punter we have had in years. I could see him having a long NFL career. Its not a **** position, but one of those positions that can have a significant impact in most games.

He's the highest rated Senior punter right now, and will definitely be the top punter available in this draft.

I think Porter's had an unfortunate senior season.

Perryman is about where most expected (despite not being a senior).

Morris failed to make the jump most hoped for. **** happens. He can still rise when the Combine rolls around.

Safest prospect is Brandon Linder. Hope the Dolphins can pick him up.

I was pretty optimistic with a third-round projections but he will blow up the combine and has great film.

Think he's a solid 3rd rounder. I thought Seantrel would be a 2nd rounder (around 45-55), like Mike Adams from the Steelers, but may be a late 3rd type of guy now. I think Feliciano will be a 3rd or 4th rounder the following year. I think Flowers has a chance to be a 1st rounder (although people here now are noting all his errors).

In any case, you put that together and it's hard not to be disappointed with what we've squeezed out of 'em.

I'd be nice to finally get a 1st rounder. Any chance someone sneaks in?

In this class? LMAO. What Senior on this team would you waste a 1st round pick on if you were an HC or GM? Honesly.

coming into this season, morris or henderson would've been easy guesses, but morris regressed for whatever reason (injury, confidence, etc) and henderson still has off field crap that plagued his career.

You guys also shouldn't forget about Jared Wheeler. Has been solid this year. With a great Pro Day I can see him getting drafted as well.

I think we all had high expectations for this class. Alot of guys killed there draft stock.

Henderson - Think he will be the highest drafted. As long as he doesnt totally blow it at the combine or at his pro day some team is going to draft him in the late 2nd or early 3rd. Its like drafting a guy in the NBA who is 7ft tall. Seantrel if he measures in at 6'8 340 will be a rare commodity. Someone will take a chance.

Linder- What round was Chris Myers drafted in? 3rd or 4th? That is how I see Linder. Someone will take him in the 3rd or 4th and get a steal. Will be a 10 year pro barring injury.

Morris - 6th round maybe.

Porter/Robinson - Same boat if you ask me. With a good workout either one could sneak in the 5th or 6th round. I think Porter will be a steal for someone. Dont ask me why. I just think he caught a bad break here. Robinson too. He was never asked to do what he did best. Rush the passer.

O Donnell - 6th round

(Perryman should stay in school if you ask me. I know he has a kid but he still can get better. Why come out just to be on the practice squad? How long will that last? Contrary to what WE might think he didnt have that great a year. He was good in spurts. )

And i am calling it now, Curtis Porter will win the "Antonio Dixon" award this year. Basically goes to the UM player that you are watching a random game on one Sunday afternoon and you see him in the starting lineup for some NFL team and wonder WTF??!!?!?! I got a good feeling about Porter.

It's conceivable that Morris gets healthy, wows in some workouts, blames performance on ankle and gets drafted in rounds 4 or 5, but I dunno, his film this season can't be good. Way too many 3 and outs and too much inconsistency.

I think it's conceivable that what you wrote happens and he sneaks into the top 75 picks (2nd round to early 3rd). Ya'll know basically all of my thoughts on Morris in my years being skeptical of D$'s optimistic outlook, but NFL QB play is ******* rough and all it takes is one GM who falls in love with him. Right now, I can think of 10 teams with situations that benefit Morris - meaning either a complete ****show at QB or an older guy at the helm that desperately needs a backup to develop.

Morris is going to say the right things. He's going to write the correct things on the board, for the most part. He's going to be accurate in shorts. He's going to flash a cannon. He's going to measure 6' 2" or so. He's going have big stats and a great highlight film. His representative is going to be able to point to an injury that affected his play senior year.

Gil Brandt mentioned himself he got caught up "in the hype" pre-season. That's the way **** goes.

No way an NFL personnel guy falls in love with Morris and picks him before the 5th/6th round, unless Stevie Wonder buys a franchise and goes Jerry Jones. This QB class doesn't have the sure-thing franchise group of two years ago, but it is fairly deep in talent. Don't care if Morris runs a 4.4, bench presses the building and launches lasers all over the combine field . . . film don't lie and Morris doesn't strike me as a kid who will sit down and dazzle scouts with his football smarts. May have the physical tools, but really lacks a feel for the game. I watch him, our defense and team in general and keep coming back to a word that wraps it all up - fragile. And not speaking from a physical perspective.

I had Morris as a late second rounder before the season going to a team like Arizona. Now, I see him as a fourth rounder who will end up on a team like Green Bay.

McCarthy prides himself on quarterback development and Morris is the closest thing physically he will find to his current quarterback. Mentally and fundamental-wise is a different story, but NFL coaches have a strong belief in their ability to teach and develop guys. And when it comes to former Canes, they usually do a much better job than the college coaches.

Before the season started I asked where you guys thought all of our seniors would get drafted. With the season coming to an end I gotta say I was **** delusional looking back. Now it looks like Allen Hurns and Brandon Linder will be the only ones drafted.

I had Morris as a late second rounder but he's had a disappointing senior year.

Let's say 4th for Morris, 2nd for Seantrel, 3rd for Linder, 2nd/3rd for Perryman, 6th for Hurns.

lol 4th for morris? bad mechanics, poor pocket presence, really inaccurate in short and intermediate throws, and locks onto his receiver
His mechanics is what is saving him... I don't know if you consider yourself a football mind, but his mechanics and willingness to stay in the pocket and go through his progressions are what is saving him...

Morris QBR last year was 50th in the nation..this year he is a top 30 yet we see him getting worse...he will need a pro day like EJ Manuel or Ponder to get in the top 3 rounds...

lets keep our fingers crossed he has yet to play his best game as a CANE for the next 30 days starting at PITT.....Friday could be a HUGE pay day for SM..

if it stays the same he does not get drafted at all...teams will allow him to walk on like Jacory...

You clearly don't watch the draft much. Tim Effing Tebow was a first rounder. How were his mechanics?

Morris has an absolute cannon. He could have worked his way into the 1st with a good senior season...while his stock fell, some team will definitely take a chance on him in the mid-late rounds. If you can get him in the 6th, you're insane not to roll the dice.
