Semifinal - Pedo State vs Notre Dame at Orange Bowl

Yall who don't get the Allar draft hype must not pay much attention to the draft. He's like a better version of Josh Freeman/Hackenberg/Levis/etc. Those guys always go high.

Like a Worse running Josh Allen and/or less accurate Herbert... That's what a GM will look at him with dreams of turning him into.

Good game today between these teams but didn’t see sheer dominance. if you took our roster this season and gave us a better HC, we are playing in the championship game.
With the back 7 we had on defense? I'd say definitely in the playoff, maybe win a game, but no way in the championship game, even with a 3 headed DC of Buddy Ryan, Bill Belichick, and Vic Fangio.

He just signed big extension. Think the only place he would leave for is NFL. (Oops think you meant options to get more talent on second glance)
No, you were right about what I was saying. I am aware of the extension. I live here in SB. Freeman has already had some level of NFL interest, which is primarily what led to the extension. I agree there would not be many things that would pull him from South Bend, but I think the right NFL job and perhaps OSU would be things that he might think about. Freeman is a phenomenal dude and a great coach.

I was thinking the same thing, he fits into that Hackenberg/Levis/Gabbert mold. He has the “looks” of a franchise QB but is not actually good. His last 4 games are pretty unremarkable to downright awful. Tonight was the most I’ve seen of him live and uh, wow, terrible. If I was a Penn St. fan I would be losing my mind.

Josh Allen is going to continue to ***** up current and future GMs who think that they can turn these rough traits types into stars when Allen is a rare exception. The overwhelming majority are going to end up like Levis.

I think players can look a lot better with better coaching. Remember how much of a difference Diaz made from DNofrio in just one season.

Would guidry still be coaching the defense?

No. A good coach wouldn’t have hired him.

Your wife’s a ND alumn, right?
I am an ND Law alum and adjunct professor at the law school. My wife went to St. Mary’s, which is the “sister school” to ND. It is a women’s school and before 1972 ND was solely a men’s school. My oldest daughter is at ND and my second oldest is a freshman at the U.

I have a lot of strong connections to ND. My FIL was the team physician for 30 years (until BK) and I know all kinds of people in various roles there from top to bottom. Most people I know, including my entire family, are ND diehards. I go to all the football and bball games with my son.

I love Notre Dame the school—it’s an amazing place. But I never really got into ND football when I was young and I fell in love with Miami when JJ rolled into town. So the U is my team and I take my kids to Miami/Coconut Grove/Coral Gables about once a year, and that is how my daughter also fell in love with it. I’m thus one of the rare Miami fans who also has an affinity for ND, Probably more than you wanted, but that’s the story.
