Semifinal Cotton Bowl - Ohio State vs Texas

Zero pocket presence.

Deer in the headlights
Twice now. 1st sack he needed to back out and to the side, instead went right into the DL. 2nd one he had plenty of room to step up in the pocket but just waited for the DE to hit him from the flank. Terrible awareness.

I know nothing is certain with Beck since he has yet to play a snap here, but I think I'm happy we didn't end up with Ewers

Fo sho

I'm biased because Beck is from North Florida, but objectively speaking he's much better athlete than Ewers. He can actually move around make plays outside the pocket or take off and get upfield

Ewers is finished.

The only thing that will keep Texas in this game is the fact that Will Howard is equally as mediocre.

But Texas's Defense & run game is going to have to bail them out because Ewers is mentally out of it.

Ewers doesn't handle pressure well, but there's pressure because Ohio St.'s DL is winning. Howard, on the other hand, has all day. Only thing stopping Ohio St. at this point is penalties.

Difference is, Howard has time.

Ewers is having one of those moments...

You can see he's already going into his shell & checking out.

Texas is cooked if they get down by 2 scores.

Really question Sark's reputation as a QB whisperer.

Ewers has flatlined since he was at Southlake Carroll

Now it's like Sark's afraid to play Lil' Manning, which mean he hasn't been able to get him ready
