Season opener

Ask me today I say we get wrecked. Like 38-24

Ask me on August 31st might be a different story if Olsen shows up in summer camp.

We got some dogs in the secondary this year last year highsmith was put in position to make plays he just COULDN'T the safety's this year will make this defense look alot different and will allow us to be more aggressive , artie burns with one year under his belt and looking for payback vs L,ville not much needs to be said about tracy and man has duke been waiting for this never seen that dude more focused duke is going off in that game stop yall crying we gon roll

I could see two things happening and neither would be a surprise at all.

1) Louisville beats us up pretty badly. Not quite a blow out but they win rather easily.
2) Our defense plays well enough, and we grind out a W due in large part to Duke Johnson.

This is what I would expect. On paper we have an overwhelming talent advantage, but Petrino is Petrino, and Dorito is Dorito.

Our O could control this game with grinding it out on the ground. You're not going to have your 1st year QB throwing it all over the field.

Call me optimistic but I think we beat down Louisville 38-14.

People forget that this is not the same team that we lost to in the bowl game.
Not only do they have a whole new coaching staff, but Louisville also lost 3 guys to the NFL this year in the 1st Round and 1 more in the 3rd. Our highest draft pick came 20 picks after their last pick and one of our 3 picks was a Punter.

They lost their top 4 players on the team… Our top players are ALL coming back this year.

Except for the most important one. He won't be there for the season opener.

That tall guy there in the middle of the pic. Him.

DVR it ...chk in at halftime. If are at least down by 3 UM has a chance. If we up and looking good..maybe the transition to being Canes has begun.

right. they are far more likely to blow us out and our best shot at a W is playing good defense (LMAO) and running out the clock.

we might be 10 point dogs

We will not be close to 10 point dogs.

I actually think the guy next to the tall guy is the most important... we were undefeated until he got hurt last year.

I think the 2 guys above will make a difference this year.

Really? You honestly think a guy who touches the ball less than 25 times a game is more important than your starting QB who will touch the ball on basically every single offensive play?

Makes sense.

Based on your logic our C is the most important guy on the every team.

And Yes, I think Duke is more important to the team than Williams; just as James was more important to the team in '98 than Covington. You are comparing a proven game changer to a potential game manager, both are important but I would rather have Duke on my team anyday.

Lots of soft shoulders these days.

This here. Yes the defense has not looked good, the players have not looked good either. If it was the talent, the guys that's left the past two years would be doing a sam shield on the league. We have talent at multiple levels now. Yes the RAB game was hard to watch, I was there!!! I will say Louisville, as the draft showed was a MUCH more talented team. Again, just be our players are wearing the orange and green does not make it automatic that they are the better team. I will say a year older, the influx of quality freshmen talent, and the saying good bye to the likes of gaines, TC and AJ we will be better.

yes Petrino is a good coach. This will be the first season we will start without any issues to worry about outside of the x's and o's. I think we win this with the leadership of Duke, DP, TH3 and Lewis. They will not let this happen!!! so I believe in spite of my issues with the coaches the players will not allow us to loss.

And that's why your line of thinking is moronic. To somehow think that your RB is more important than your QB1. I thought I had heard it all on this site but this is some retarded ******* schit.

As was stated we have 3 months to get his replacement ready, with experienced talent ALL over the offense. Also, the replacement was considered a better prospect. Our staff better have a game plan that does not ask the kid to do too much. I sometime question OC game plan. The DUKE game continues to stick out to me, RUN da **** ball, man, we win that game going away even with our horrible defense!!!
