We thought we would beat Maryland. No one here is harboring any illusion that this is a should-win...in fact I would say most would be surprised if we didn't get our brakes beat off.

Maryland was a bad team that we should have beat. The last time we had played them, we had won.

Louisville is a solid program coming off a great season which they concluded, and this is the most important part, with a BEAT down of our team that wasn't replacing its quarterback. In the interim, they have added one of the most respect on-field coaches of the past decade. Maryland, they ain't.

We need to score a ton of points because Dnofrio sucks *******.

May seem over the top, but this game could completely define how the season goes.

If we lose to a team that lost it's QB with the 32nd pick of the draft, lost two other players to the first round of the draft, and has a break in a new coach and QB (not to mention it would be back-to-back losses dating back to the bowl game), the wheels will absolutely come off the cart.

We lose this game, and we're in for a 6-6 year, IMO.
