I wasn't driving out to Ft. Myers tonight, so it's on the able bodies and minds of CanesInsight to provide for us on this one.

Ive heard the defense is making some impact plays.

Don't know what's to be expected from the O with all the walk ons getting reps, especially at WR. Dye should never ever be on the field except for short yardage. Williams needs to tighten up, missing wide open guys.

The negative nancies will be out in full force the next few days.

The reality is that this team lacks talent. We are in year 2 of what will likely take at least 4 years to get back.

I couldnt agree more. This is a young team with not much depth. That doesnt add up to many wins. Ill be happy with 7_8. Year 3_4 is where you will see
Big improvements being made.

Also fans shouldnt read a ton into these scrimmages. There arent many WRs here yet, some good freshman are coming in the summer. Most likely our starting qb is on the sidelines which doesnt help. These scrimmages wont show much

Our offensive talent for this season is still in high school unfortunately. Duke, Lockhart, Lewis, and Waters will give us some weapons.

Just got back from the scrimmage. D was dominant all night long. D-Line looked great. Linebackers looked really good (Perryman and Kirby). And a couple of standouts in the secondary (Gunter and Hope). The O looked ok. Not much running room and nobody really broke anything all night long as far as RB goes. Rashawn Scott caught everything and had a nice go route from Williams for good yardage. TE looks like a focus. Lots of bootlegs and naked bootlegs with the TE coming across the field. Williams was accurate and Crow looked good too. Great turnout. Very proud of my SWFL cane fans. We packed that place.

We are a few years from conte ding for a mnc. But this team can contend for the ACC title by'13, for sure.

Also, remember, duke Johnson will be one of the best players in cfb the moment he steps on the field.
