Scott

If Scott is out for the year, we're down to 6 scholly WRs. Does anyone think Golden will try Corn and/or Ray Lewis' kid in the slot? I remember both players saying that they would do whatever to help the team. We might have to consider that for the short-term.

Rashawn Scott is a big loss ..... that guy is acrobatic as **** in the air going for the ball.

He caught the ball one handed, messed his shoulder up, and still held on to it.

smh **** we couldve definitely used him against Florida.

I totally agree!

would like to see Corn in the slot

Scott's a real man. The dude had an excruciating injury and still held onto the ball. Reminds me of Malcolm last year.

My impression seeing it live and then watching the replay, possibly an A-C joint separation.

I suffered a grade 3 playing football in November. I rehabbed 3x per week, and I couldn't do anything until the following April. A bad AC separation will keep him out the rest of the season.

I was surprised to see Corn logging big minutes at CB in the fau game. I thought they'd RS him and let him put on some weight. Now that he's not RS'ing I wouldn't be surprised to see him start taking practice reps at WR.

I think Corn would not only help in the slot, but also in special teams. I understand that we're trying to save Duke for certain situations and we have Dorsett back there because he is probably the most dependable (hands wise at least). However, Corn is crazy shifty like Roscoe Parrish. He also has natural vision (from playing RB in HS) to see holes and creases in the KR game.

A-C surgery would depend upon the grade of the separation. My concern was the way he landed on the elbow which could have driven the head of the humerus up into the glenoid and disrupted the integrity of the AC ligaments.

No siht. The angle he came down on the elbow, he could have also crammed the long thingy that fits up in that other thing, tearing a couple doo-dads loose from that what's it that makes the arm bone maintain its integrity, OR, the top bone could be cracked if not fractured, in which case, he'll be pretty sore.

So I sort of disagree in that this isn't very humerus. Not funny at all.

And polish up a bit on your spelling.

You may want to invest in a Dorlands Medical Dictionary.

Humerus, long bone of the upper limb or forelimb of land vertebrates that forms the shoulder joint above, where it articulates with a lateral depression of the shoulder blade (glenoid cavity of scapula), and the elbow joint below, where it articulates with projections of the ulna and the radius.

Terrible news. But the kid will get a Medical RS, which would be huge for him. He will be 100 by spring and be a freaking tank next fall.

WR depth is 1 more guy away from being and issue, but we have 6 scholarship guys, Kidd, and guys like Crawford and Corn who if they know the routes will work in a pinch.

I'd say we are sitting pretty nicely on the side of the injury fence we are on right now. Hopefully Uf isn't a bloodbath for us.

Ah, Ibis, i think he was trying to tickle your funny bone there (which appears to be a bit out of joint at the moment).

I am of the opinion that Scott is our best wide receiver. So, in my mind (and probably in most), this is a hugely significant loss. I hope for his sake and ours he tries to turn lemons into lemonade and works his a** off to come back next year in beast mode. There is simply no reason why he cannot be an elite wide receiver, but I always worry about how guys with some behavioral history will respond (in training and in the classroom) when faced with the prospect of not playing for an entire year. It can be a depressing prospect for those with even the strongest constitution.

Jontavious Carter's dismissal hurts now. We still have 5 very good WRs, but hardly any depth. Any further injuries may actually affect game planning and we'd see more 2TE sets.

I have not found a single link that provides the severity of his injury. Lynx please. I know the pro's must provide an injury report every week, does college? I think not, so I feel we will not know the truth until late in the week.

"Best" is a fluid term with this group but he certainly, at times, was our best WR last year. It stings bad.

That's what I said.
