Schnellenberger rooting for FAU?

I say we self-impose and vacate all of our wins from the 1983 championship season

He can root for FAU. Fine by me. Many of those kids are his. But I know that in his heart he is still all Cane. Just cannot show it in this circumstance. The Pipe is a legend and every Cane fan should hold him in as high a regard as we do JJ.

Schnelly is rooting for the underdog because Miami was once an underdog. Miami had to start somewhere and for us it started against Nebraska in the '84 Orange Bowl. In essence, Schnelly is hoping for the same type of success for FAU...

Schelly is like the Larry Brown of coaching. He helps to build a program, make sure they're going in the right direction and then move right along. With that said, I take no offence to what he said.

Anyone with anything bad to say about Schnellenberger can just STFU. For what that man did for us, he gets eternal dispensation to say or do whatever he wants in my book.

Schnells can do what the **** he wants when the **** he wants.

Eternal thanks to a great head coach.

When he's gone, all anyone will remember is this.... :neonu:

Anyone so soft shouldered to begrudge the guy who got it started, please just get the **** out of here right now.

This. Cane legend. Without him, there is a chance all of it never happened. Will never say a bad word about the man.

Schnells can do what the **** he wants when the **** he wants.

Eternal thanks to a great head coach.

How does Golden stack up when compared with Howard?

Save that question for when Golden wins his first MNC.

I'll pose the question again when he beats UVA

Howard says that Golden is the best coach Miami has had since he was the coach.

Howard also said that last year's Miami team was the most beautiful sight these eyes have ever seen.

I was being serious.
Just listened to Howard's interview with Ferman.
Said a lot of interesting things.
When he became the coach at Miami he had 5 years to win big or they were going to move the Canes to Division II.
When asked about the gators stopping the series he said, "they're scaredy cats. Always have been."

Great interview for all you 21st century fans.

For everything Howard did for us, he can root for whoever the **** he wants.
I can still remember when he took the Miami job and said, "we're going to win a national championship in 5 years."

Sort of like Pellini saying, "in 5 years the Owls will win a national championship."

That's how ridiculous it sounded when Howard said it, but god **** if he didn't make it happen.

:ohlord:...JJ would have never said another team was "his team"
