No. That was more CIS bulls*** from slurpers who brushed off Cronkrite's decommitment and refused to direct any criticism towards the staff for the real reason he left. IIRC, both Token Cane and Canesbball said the staff lied to him repeatedly and then Ice Harris stopped recruiting him for months. And then a member of the staff took an attitude with Cronkrite in a phone call right before he decommitted. He was never scared of competition.
And we're going to go from having Scarlett/Williams/Cronkrite/Walton committed at RB to just having Walton. They lied to Cronk and botched his recruitment. Pete claims the staff let Williams walk to try to secure Scarlett and Walton, which is going to backfire horribly as anyone with a brain could've seen coming. And Scarlett's going to leave because UF made a coaching change and can legitimately sell reason for optimism, unlike this dead to rights program.
We're missing out on elite athletes with top-end explosion and home run ability at RB (Michel, Cook, Scarlett will be next) and ending up with good players with limited athletic upside and far lower ceilings.
