No academic demands to speak of. The place is a sports factory. Wish I could have attended a place like that. Tuition must be insane.

Nice. Good thing these kids can play a sport. Would hate to see what would happen at a school like that if they couldn't...they must have a lot of scholarships or vouchers. Reminds me of Ensworth here in Nashville.

only about 15% - 20% of the students get scholarships

I'd venture to say that those 15-20% are those ballas that can bring and highlight the athletic performance of IMG and their superior facilities.

Many of these top athletes find themselves on the bubble of qualifying for all the colleges. Every athlete don't want to settle for a school with virtually open door entrance requirements, FSU, LSU, WVU, Marshall, or want be admitted in college to play Football under I-Disability-E-Act, therefore, IMG also sells the very academic support you think are your "no academic demands" in that they tell ballas that they will assist and support them to no ends in being admitted without being restricted to the Marshalls and LSUs for low grades/scores and under the disability act, respectively. Paying the annual tuition affords an athlete options for college. If a balla struggles being on the edge of prep school, or similar circumstance, IMG sells you their notion of giving you a way out via their academic support.

I think my Clemson Tigers have a good shot at landing at least one, if not both of the CB's; Trayvon Mullen and Savion Smith.

We already have a commit form TJ Chase from IMG and are one of the faorites for Smith and Rashaun Smith.

Like you guys, I am worried about the influence of Weinke, but so far he hasn't tried to prevent coaches from seeing his players or getting them to camp or Jr Days.

You guys get a couple FLA kids every year. Spiller, Watkins, Mackenzie were all compensated nicely. This year will be no different

Well, it's your board so I won't get into an arguement with you about compensating players....BUT glass houses and such....

I don't care much about clemson.. Your bread and butter is still the carolinas/georgia

I think fSU still will be a serious contender for any IMG prospect that has high level DI talent.

Just speaking the truth. Couple of people I know are huge Clemson boosters. Like I said you will always grab a couple FLA kids. Btw when did the ncaa ever prove we payed kids?

It's been claimed that Haith gave Shapiro money to his coaches for "camp services" that actually went back to Shapiro's mother. The money never got to the player; the coaches either kept the money or a bag man never tendered it to the player. Now Clemson got this compensation act down pat. No way they'd use lame bag man or a booster with swindled money.

Doesnt seem to have ANY interest in UM plus from comparing his film to last years best CB in FL (Tolliver) it doesnt even seem close.

I can see why people get mad UM lets certain players slip out of their grasp but this kid isnt even in the ballpark nor does he posses that "cant miss" potential you go after regardless of interest..

Not bashing the kid at all..he's better than I was in HS! lls Just don't see how/why a kid with 0 interest in UM already has 4 pages of thread on em..
