savannah state 3 Troy 66

We aren't the only team to plays these crap teams. Alabama does it every year. Not sure why everyone is complaining? We should be able to get Gus some carries and work on the timing with Morris and our receivers.....and Williams and our receivers.......and Crow and our receivers......and Dewey and our receivers.....and Welch and our receivers.....and Lassiter and our receivers,

You still don't ****ing get it. It's not about playing cupcakes.

Savannah St. isn't a cupcake. Booker T would probably beat them.

What possible good is there playing a team like that? We get better experience for guys in ****ing practice.

IMO you don't get it. It is a bye week.

More from Tim Reynolds:

Miami plays Savannah State on Sept. 21. Savannah State, so far this season, has given up five more points than Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, Washington, Oklahoma, Cent Fla, Alabama, Arizona, Florida State, Oregon, Stanford, Duke, Kansas, Louisville and Marshall, COMBINED.

Gus carries the ball 25 times. Not a great game, but considering the next game is USF works out fine. If I was Golden, I'd bet tempted to take a day to review GT during the bye week.

More like a week imo. Normally I'm against scheming for future games ahead of the current opponent but savannah state could very well be the worst team ever assembled. More like a high school team if anything. We need to coach discipline on the triple option so we can start off the acc schedule in stride and roll up to unc undefeated

we need to get something going on offense. the FAU game was a cluster**** and we pulled the starters in the mid to late 3rd. i woulda liked to see more of them then but i understand why they got pulled with UiF coming up

this game is practice for us. we should take advantage of it.

Exactly. One thing I saw in the Gator game is that our interior D-line is stout. Florida' great "ground and pound" couldn't do anything verse the middle of our line. Our DT's are huge and are ends are pretty big too. The only time I saw them have consistent success with the run game is when they ran it outside, either by a designed Driskel run or an RB taking it outside. That's why the option has me feeling a little uncomfortable.

We shouldn't even start the starters. Starters should be Gray Crow for the first half, then send in Michael Welch at QB, De'Andre Johnson at RB, Garrett Kidd at WR, etc. Our walk-ons would put 60 on them with a weather stoppage in the third quarter. I don't even want to risk the injury to a third string player by playing this punching bag for hire.

Going to be funny to see Golden tell the media with a straight face, "Savannah State is going to be a big challenge for us. They're tough, physical and they play hard."

Just like FAU, he will have the team geared up like its the Super Bowl.
One game at a time will be said 500 times in the next 2 weeks.

I love it. Needs to keep these guys focused.
Doesn't matter if that team is the girliest of cupcakes, you take them out and beat them until their pupils dilate, give them their check, and then it's, "who's next?"
