Saturday Practice report and UM notes...

yes they would've helped, but Dorito would've negated any positivity from those practices

Defensive coordinator Mark D’Onofrio said: “These practices mean everything. They’re like spring practice. We had 30 less practices than our competitors the last two years.”

Oh he back

Excuse machine in full effect...

Last one to defend D'onofrio, but you are crazy if you think 30 less practices doesn't hurt.

Guy has been here 3 years and our defense has gotten worse. **** is another 30 practices gonna do?

Missing thirty practices over two years does affect the team. Call it an excuse if you want, but that is a fact.

How is it an excuse? It's a fact that the program has missed out on a bunch of practice time the last two years with the self-imposed bowl bans. Just think about the juniors and seniors missing all the practice time and how much better they could've been.

I think the defense was lucky to not have to spend an additional 30 practices with Dorito. We would've been ranked even lower

You asked how that excuse was an excuse, and then proceed to make more excuses.Maybe the question you need to be asking is "What is an excuse?" because you clearly don't know.

you don't recruit the likes of olsen/kaaya to hand the keys to the car to a Memphis reject

Memphis reject lol. He started as a true freshmen. How is he a reject?

Exactly. You recruit the likes of Olsen/Kaaya to grow and develop them into championship caliber starters, not start them as freshmen when they're inexperienced and not ready to play.

Nice to see Gall and Gadbois mentioned, along with Grace.

Gadbois is an extremely interesting prospect. ****ing kid is enormous and seems to move well.

Gall, well, that's my dude right there.

Gall is also a big dude. Not Gadbois big but very good size. Gall also has a nice mean streak to him.

Not bad, but I would not be shocked to see KC start at RT and Feliciano stay at guard.

It will be interesting to see who our coaches determine is our #3 offensive tackle. In a pinch would Bunche slide over, do they feel confident enough in Gadbois/Odogwu, or is McDermott so good that he's plug-n-play?

I've always been a big Gadbois fan. I expect him to be ready to play after another off-season, assuming he stays on the straight and narrow. We've seen guys like Ben Jones and Jared Wheeler develop through the system, and Gadbois is a lot more talented than those guys.

Odogwu is a long ways away.
