I think we need to temper our expectations for Williams... I think he'll be fine but we will see why Morris played...
Morris teaching Olsen how to progress through reads??

Seriously. No wonder the kid looked confused out there at times.
D'Onofrio suggesting these extra practices mean everything ????? It won't do one damned thing to compensate for his half-assed-lay twenty yards off the ball defensive scheme.
****, if no one could execute it in three years, I'm not expecting to see a difference with an additional fifteen practices. Idiot.
Defensive coordinator Mark D’Onofrio said: “These practices mean everything. They’re like spring practice. We had 30 less practices than our competitors the last two years.”
Oh he back

Last one to defend D'onofrio, but you are crazy if you think 30 less practices doesn't hurt.

This is one thing Schnellenberger always pointed out as the value of going to a bowl game. You get better as as result (like having a second spring practice, he said) and then you go to more bowl games, and get even better. He called it the "perpetual motion machine."
D'Onofrio makes a good point--now if he could only cure whatever the problem is with our defense, in that extra practice time....
Open practice and only 200 people show up? Wow.
Williams is gonna look great throwing screens to Coley next year.
