Sankey talks to McAfee

Far too many games in my opinion. But your point is taken.
Fully agree it's too many games, But I thought that when the NFL went up from 14 games and a two game postseason (Conference Championships then Super Bowl). The $$$ thought otherwise. And it seems the $$$ is always right.

True. Money talks and the reason CFB is in the state it's in.

I think two 24-team super conferences Tier 1 is the end result. Both conferences play 12 regular season games, each with 8 teams in their playoff. 3 playoff rounds then both champions play for the national championship. NFL model. An 8-team playoff may seem like too many but money talks and generates more money.

FBS teams not in these two super conferences align into similar Tier 2/3 conferences and have their own tournament.

The NCAA will be defunct for football.

I am so sick of this. They have better schedules because they control the ranking system. If you rank your teams higher. You are going to have a "stronger schedule" The media a*****es dont have the ball to tell them this. Duke, Loiuv, GT, Syr are just as good as Miss, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Vandy. But those teams are ranked higher. BECAUSE OF BIAS, and no one in the media says anything
Duke would beat just about all the ****tyyyyy sec teams. Louisville blew kentucky out. But a friend said "oh kentucky sucks". But in their eye a 4-8 Kentucky team is better than a 9-3 Syracuse.

Yes, that seems more probable now that you describe it. You have thought this through well, **** they ought to hire you to straighten their mess out!

Better than humans being bias and putting in SEC just because
How do you think the data gets there? AI is only as good or "bias" as the people putting in the data that holds the most weight. It just gives us less ability to argue with it and the people in control a better excuse to say this is the answer because the computer said so.

College football is screwed. Sankey and Petitti are doing the jobs for their conferences, but what is good for the SEC and B1G is not necessarily what is good for college football though. There needs to be an adult in the room looking out for the sport as a whole and there is no one there, nor does there seem to be anyone on the horizon.

I really wish the ACC, Big XII, and the G5 would just tell the SEC and B1G to ***** off at this point. Have some self-respect and call the bluff of the SEC/B1G. Start their own division of college football. Only allow rivalry games with the upper league, but no other comingling. Their own playoff, their own bowl games, their own TV. ***** it.

Now I get why he hasn’t been very vocal. He has no idea what’s going on and only makes things worse when he opens his mouth.
ACC is fast losing any inkling that they are a major conference. They have no marketing and no vocal support. If I was the ACC commissioner I would have been on every major talk show talking down on the SEC with facts and calling out biases.

For the universities, they need to be putting boots to asses on the commissioner and the conference as a whole. At the very least a very vocal vote of NO confidence. They have been bent over 2x in the last two years, about to see it happen a 3rd time too if SMU loses tonight.

He’s overseen the fall of basketball and baseball and doesn’t care enough to push football either. He’s the worst commissioner in sports
