trueWho said ‘current staff’?
I’m a disappointed as anyone but I‘ve learned to try and look ahead rather than lament losses. Growing up a Bucs fan teaches you that. And the last 15 or so seasons at Miami.true
Yes in line is taking in to consideration kids that are in play, pending we land them. You continue to move the goal post as you see fit so let me get ahead and say that nothing is guaranteed until signing day either way, up or down in recruiting.we have the 11th ranked class. what's in line for 7-8 class? counting kids who haven't committed committeD? there is no guarantee Bain, Johnson, Samson come here. were also not counting other teams improving and jumping over us in the rankings. yeah were not in line for ****. were in line for the 11th ranked class.
also kids will come aboard when in year 3 we can beat duke? lol fire them all now then
im only counting kids that have verbally committed. I say that bc we were told staff felt good about bonsu, Tyler Williams, Achiempong, etc. and they all went elsewhere. CJ has been teasing a commitment but nothing nd kinda went dead for a while. Samson is still quiet so nothing to gain from there for now.Yes in line is taking in to consideration kids that are in play, pending we land them. You say there is no guarantee in recruiting but then are assuming that our big accomplishment will be beating Duke in year 3. Which is an assumption and not a guarantee. So which one is it? Factual reality or assumptions that you deem are fit?
Also, since you’re saying we’re not in line for a 7-8 class cuz people will jump us in recruiting and all that, will people not jump us at 11? We might not be in line for 11 either. Another non-guarantee. Might as well pack up the Hecht and close down Miami athletics as we know it.
I know I don’t have as many posts as you or most of the people here, but I also don’t think I’ve sounded that dumb for you to assume I’m speaking about this year?Once we get the ball rolling and actually start winning games. You talking about this season?
They have gotten beat and they can still be beat from here to signing day. The hope is Mario can sell being the change to the program to them and the other kids we seem to be leading for or feel good about.im only counting kids that have verbally committed. thats not moving goal posts bc the staff has gotten beat on kids they felt strongly about.
I said we aren't in line for 7 bc we aren't 7 now. were 11. were not in line for a 7th ranked class bc we aren't 7th now and we dont have a commit since the summer. were 11th. in line for that. thats all. guys will jump us or move below us pending on the rankings and other factors, but right now were in line for a top 11 class. I think we finish around 8-12 but that was before getting skull ****ed by ****** teams and likely going 4-8, 5-7.
im saying our biggest win will be beaitng duke bc its a joke lol. we just got rocked by them. w a huge talent advantage and YOE from our staff compared to there's (they actually have our old fired staffers on their staff).
agreed. will say tho w Oregon. they look better w the changes made to the staff though. thats my biggest concern. he provided a great talent base, but it took a new staff to get them to where they are now (theyre obviously not top 5 good, but they have a high powered offense which Mario couldn't do there). thats been my biggest reservation w Mario. They have gotten beat and they can still be beat from here to signing day. The hope is Mario can sell being the change to the program to them and the other kids we seem to be leading for or feel good about.
I agree. That’s why I made the mistake of predicting 10-2 (L to TAMU AND CLEMSON). Hasn’t played out that way but I felt we have, at least on paper, a significant talent advantage.
We all saw what Mario did at Oregon and what Oregon is doing with his players. So it’s not like he’s new to this.
I’d definitely say this staff is doing well with the team Mario left behind. My only thing is, what’s to say Mario wouldn’t have done just the same up to this point? He went 12-2 and won the Rose Bowl. He went 10-3 last year. And the recruiting was starting to pick even further after he set the record for the highest ranked recruiting class ever at Oregon. For me, the verdict on the Oregon staff will be in the next 2-3 years, how they recruit.agreed. will say tho w Oregon. they look better w the changes made to the staff though. thats my biggest concern. he provided a great talent base, but it took a new staff to get them to where they are now (theyre obviously not top 5 good, but they have a high powered offense which Mario couldn't do there). thats been my biggest reservation w Mario.
Not even a debate at this point. Just factualHe’d start today
Miami will never provide an $EC or other name program game atmosphere. I don’t care what stadium Ruiz wants to build. The Canes could be coming off an undefeated NC season and would draw 35-40K for a 1230p game against any ACC team other than Clemson or FSU, or boring G5 opponents.
This will never change…
Never too late for money to peak its head around. Especially when it’s one of those twoThere’s about to be a Texas school involved from what I hear
