Still, we can’t afford to go winless down the stretch. We have to show some semblance of fight and progress. UVA, GT, and FSU. Win those three, get to a bowl, and let’s get the **** out of this nightmare of a season.

We’ll then pray Mario cleans house — both staff and players — and that he changes his offensive philosophy. Otherwise, we’re fvcked.

Mario has never had to recruit through this much negativity. Oregon was never bad during his tenure. This will be a new challenge for him. He’s recruited at fiu bama and Oregon. Fiu it doesn’t matter. Bama it’s easy to recruit. Oregon has nike money and facilities.

Oregon was 4-8 the year before Mario Joined with Taggart. They improved under Taggart’s first year but largely through Mario’s recruiting. Which he then improved upon. The Nike money was the same reason people said he wouldn’t leave for Miami.

I do agree that we have challenges that they big schools don’t. But we have great aspects to our program that they don’t either. The test is going to be if Mario can convince the kids of today that, want instant gratification more than anything, to be program changers and recruit at the highest level. Napier seems to be doing pretty well despite being in the bottom half of the SEC East. Norvell has made a few moves despite being in the bottom half of the Atlantic. Mario must do the same.

this is stupid. instant gratification is wanting to go to a place that wins and constantly sends kids to the league? lol come on. stop making excuses. no one would join a failing company headed by a CEO that misfired on all his staff decisions and whose employees quit on. this isnt a generation thing. its common sense. you go where you believe you'll be put in a situation to succeed and excel

And kids know this from Billy Napier’s first year at Florida where he’s meddling in 4th or 5th place in the SEC East and Norvell who's in 5th or 6th in the Atlantic and hasn’t had a winning season yet at FSU ? Wow I wish I was as knowledgeable and realistic as you are.

Yet Florida is out recruiting us for now and FSU has a couple guys, mainly Hykeem, that we’re trying to pull away from them. TAMU signed the best class ever last year and hasn’t sniffed the kind of success they thought they were in position to enjoy.

hes in the SEC. kids will still want to go to the SEC. UF also recruits itself to an extent bc there will be kids that will always want to play for UF and get their game day exp and atmosphere. Norvell struggled and is struggling in recruiting even still. the skill guys all told us to **** ourselves bc of Mario and his reputation on offense. UF loaded up on CBs bc they have the best DB coach in the c country. you know how much atm spent on recruiting right?

UF also most recently sent a DB in the first round and had success under Mullen.

Exactly why Mario has to earn his paycheck with recruiting despite the on field performance because others have done the same with the help of certain variables that you just mentioned. Which was my initial point. So its not all about winning and development for the NFL. Mario has a track record of developing talent as well.

Mario is no more or no less a ”failing CEO” than Napier, Norvell, and Jimbo currently. So he has to recruit his *** off. The development and putting players in the NFL starts with recruiting at a high level. These kids will go to the NFL when the talent pools together and where there is team success, individual success is also present.

were not gonna get an ATM class or Bama class w Mario. it wont happen here under any coach. well get at best 7 or 8 type class

I don’t think thats accurate. We’re in line to end up with a 7 or 8 class now. Once we get the ball rolling and actually start winning games in solidly, more of the top kids are going to want to jump on board

we have the 11th ranked class. what's in line for 7-8 class? counting kids who haven't committed committeD? there is no guarantee Bain, Johnson, Samson come here. were also not counting other teams improving and jumping over us in the rankings. yeah were not in line for ****. were in line for the 11th ranked class.

also kids will come aboard when in year 3 we can beat duke? lol fire them all now then

Miami will never provide an $EC or other name program game atmosphere. I don’t care what stadium Ruiz wants to build. The Canes could be coming off an undefeated NC season and would draw 35-40K for a 1230p game against any ACC team other than Clemson or FSU, or boring G5 opponents.

I don’t give a fvck about recruiting rankings. 11th, 7th, 13th….blah. TAMU has great recruiting rankings, how’s that working out? ****, Miami has ranked classes, and we’ve seen how those went for nothing the past decade or more.

Let’s see how Mario and staff recruit and develop. Too soon to judge. Some true freshman have played but a small percentage of players that young quickly starters and excel out of the gate.

And Mario definitely needs to rework his staff.

atm is actually what we use as an example of poor coaching.

I dont need to see how his current staff recruit and develop. theyre done here (OC and DC). fwiw, his OC can't recruit a WR and his DB coach can't recruits DBs. his DL coach can't recruit a DT. were good at OL though.

the biggest issue is Mario depends on an HUGE talent advantage to win games consistently. that may never happen here. were also in trouble if it doenst. he needs to be in the top 5 range to win the games in the way he wants to
