S Hylton “Drake” Stubbs commits to Miami... flips to UiF 12/2

The difference between Martinez and Fletcher has been night and day the last 5-6 games, and was pronounced vs. Syracuse.

That is one of the very few things that bothered me about the offense this year. Maybe the only one. The way we rotated RBs made no sense to me. I felt it made it difficult for any one of them to truly get in a rhythm.
We were too cute with it. IMHO

AND we dominated them at home THIS season...hard to have any more advantages than that
While I agree, the drubbing of UF feels like an eternity ago given how this season has progressed. IMO, that was the most complete game this team has played all season. Injuries have hurt, but the regression (particularly on defense) has been real. Recruiting has such a "what have you done for me lately" dynamic. NIL not withstanding, UF ended the season hot and is selling the future. UM, meanwhile, has very little to sell at the moment. It's hard to pitch a 10-win season when you have a Heisman-caliber QB leading the charge and you still miss the ACC Championship Game. Factor in the dynamic that Ward may have played his last snap at UM, and the negative recruiting will be out in full force. I'm still hoping UM can close. Opinions have been mixed on Stubbs this season, but we badly need an infusion of talent in the secondary. Hanks and Pickett seem increasingly less likely. Losing Stubbs would be a significant blow.

Losing Stubbs will mean nothing , If you followed recruiting for more then 10 minutes this is the way it goes. Every recruit can be replaced , You all are just insane,

With all due respect to Dmoney, his content this season is basically functioning as the propaganda wing for the program. Good for him being able to do this full time but i think some honest perspective has been lost.
At least tag the dude.

Funny stuff.

We try to flip a recruit but can't and we're told that the season doesn't really matter since a lot of this recruiting was wrapped up by the summer.

We lose a recruit late to a flip and we're told that the end of year uptick really resonates with kids.

Sir don't you know that basically the opposite of what applies to every other team is what applies to Miami?

I'm shocked UF is throwing money around like this. I was told that a lot of their boosters weren't spending another penny on anything that helps Napier. Idk who's behind the spend now campaign or how they changed so many minds, but they're spending like there's no tomorrow. Its crazy.

I don't think the problem was continuing to air it out considering Cam was absolutely dealing, had a great game overall, and has carried us all season. Ward completed 70% of his passes despite a crucial third down drop on a perfectly thrown ball in a contested situation by Brown and an awful, untimely drop from Horton late in the 4th quarter

The issue I had was the carry distribution between Fletcher and Martinez. We gave 13 carries to Fletcher, who averaged just 3.5 YPC. Those proved to be wasted downs in a game where Martinez was running roughshod and Ward was dialed in when protected.

With everything at stake, we needed to give Martinez 20+ carries and instead only gave him 10. We needed to abandon the committee approach and make Martinez the workhorse but failed to do so.
Not giving martinez more carries that game was very very dumb. He was a monster every time he had the ball.

Probably the same guy that promised Rashada 10 million.

Hope these kids have proper representation and not just trusting the Gators, a team that has proven to be shady with NIL.

To be completely honest what UF is doing this cycle is not sustainable and will kill that locker room. Over paying for kids and having freshman come in making a lot more than current players is a recipe for disaster putting lipstick on a pig. They’re all in and whiling to over spend these two years, but can be setting that program back years with it and keeping Napier.

Bruh….EVERY school every year incoming freshmen class, especially at the bigger schools, will make more than the previous class. The price of the brick is going up every year
