Ryheem Lockley

i know this is a ryheem lockley thread, but Jamal Carter wants to take it over anyway. Jamal Carter is going to wreck helmets this year.

put on Jamal Carter's tape, then this guy. no way he plays safety. he does not look explosive enough. short area change of direction is not good IMO

Not really a fair comparison considering Jamal is right there with Artie and Stacy as the most freakish athlete in the class. (all three have elite athleticism)

thats what we want in the backfield though. that kinda athlete.

I think Lockley looks like a good athlete at his size but he is prob too big to play Safety

It may be what you want, but you probably won't get it.

Tracy isn't an elite athlete, he's just a smart football player. Want to get rid of him?

Elite athletes are great, but they aren't always the best football players. Ed Reed was never overly athletic, but he's smart, knows the game, and is just a good football player. I'll take those over elite athletes who don't know how to use that athleticism.

my point is that arent many guys that are legit 6'4" that have the agility, change of direction, etc to play safety

that is not an opinion really. it is fact. go find some guys that fit that mold. there arent many. I can only think of a couple and they weren't overly impressive

6'4" 217 18 year olds aren't meant to be safeties in college. Please point me to to a few if you disagree.

LB all the way. Ray Ray was such a waste. Kid could have been a **** of a TE.

yep. the thing that many seem to forget is that these kids grow

if he is a legit 6'4" 220 right now at 18, the kid will be mid 240s at least in a few years. that is just too big for a Safety

he is big. i think he winds up at te or lb. i love the way he plays. Like figs he has a chip on his shoulder and plays hard. however, i am not sure what kind of talent he is up against. Our future dbs in this class are artie, carter, and ray III. Carter, Jenkins and bush give us some major head hunters at Safety. I think Artie plays CB but i could be wrong.

Don't care where he plays. He looks like a **** of an athlete. TE or LB, I'll be happy when he enrolls and suits up.

I think Linebacker and TE may be too physical for him. He didnt show any traits at either positions or as a physical player. I also think he may be too slow to play SS. And with the competition he was playing against its pretty hard to label a position on him. However do not get me wrong; this kid is an ATH! I think we bring him in and keep him at WRs and see what he can do his JR and SR year.

Just think about it; a kid that big playing WR who can make something outta nothing. Kinda remind me of Brandon Marshall.

Looked like a LB to me. I remember him having a beastly tape, I think he is a real find. Actually I was still over on grassy around the time of his commit, and he was a kid that Bakas (Bad source of info but still an experienced scout) had just stumbled upon his tape and been blown away. I don't know if he got tipped or if he clued the staff in, but he made it sound as if it was coincidental if IIRC at the time.

Kids the forgotten man in this class by a longshot

His film is amazing and he's all over the field. He had an offer from the gayturds and Virginia schools when he committed to us. Also, he is not slow; he's a legit 4.5
