Ryheem Lockley

“It’s looking like they’re going to be able to get him in 2013,” Middlesex head coach Josh Franke told InsideTheU.com. “The last thing we are waiting on are his SAT results. It seems like it's a good possibility (that he'll get in to UM this year)."

That doesn't really say anything at this point.
Having followed these things since biblical times, the best advice one can give is to forget all the speculative
statements and wait until fall camp starts.

And even then things aren´t water tight. See: Washington, Bobby.

I may be wrong, but IIRC Bobby Washington was, perhaps, blindsided at the last moment by the UM admissions department. That is different from failing to meet NCAA requirements. If UM was going to reject him, they could have told him that earlier. Again, maybe my understanding of this is faulty.

put on Jamal Carter's tape, then this guy. no way he plays safety. he does not look explosive enough. short area change of direction is not good IMO

Raheem's highlights

For a big guy, Lockley looks like a good athlete; so im impressed a bit there. ...but honestly, it looks like he's toying with a bunch of dorks.

R. Scott's highlight tape looked the same way, so you just never know until he straps it up against better competition.

FWIW, in seeing Lockley's file, he looks best running the ball...a whole lot better than Danny Dillard.

Not really a fair comparison considering Jamal is right there with Artie and Stacy as the most freakish athlete in the class. (all three have elite athleticism)

thats what we want in the backfield though. that kinda athlete.

I think Lockley looks like a good athlete at his size but he is prob too big to play Safety

I like him at safety, he's a good athlete. Obviously the coaches feel he'll be best there as well. But come on guys, the kid hasn't even stepped foot on campus. Things could change when the coaches see him running around this summer. Interested to see how things shake out.
