ryan williams

Why does it have to be benching Morris? This is about the future, you play Williams a couple quarters each game no matter the score and see what you have.

Qb controversy then ride with morris till the wheels fall off he deserves that much for being a true cane

Morris is the reason the def gave up. Early in season they played hard. Look at ga tech and uf. Then this kid is 3 and out, int or quick score. They were living on the field this team doesn't believe in Morris and quit because they can't trust him

Go back and look at the difference in energy levels prior to unc and wake. It then goes down hill.

We hadn't played a competent offense.

And UF shot themselves in their foot repeatedley. We lose ourselves in that win...Driskell had career numbers I believe. They moved the ball at will between the twenties. If they were a slightly better offense and didn't give the ball up, as duke didn't, they hang 40 plus on us.

I was just talking energy levels. They played harder even in first half of fsu then that 3 and out to start 2nd half was literally the end.

Tough to measure energy from the couch or even fifty rows back at no-life, so I have no idea. Honestly, to me it looks more like they just ain't that good. And the only time they can get off the field or make a play is by way of an opponents mistake.

A friend of mine played at u under Coker. Didn't really play much but he keeps close tabs on program. When I bought into the preseason hype about Morris, he told me "he has an nfl arm and that's it" after we escaped uf he said "fsu and va tech won't give it up the ball like uf offense, Morris couldn't deliver but uf offense was worse" maybe I am bitter due to fact i bought the hype

Most of us did.

And we all thought the D was going to improve.

I was always sacred about dl and really upset when we lost ej. Hopefully this recruiting class stays strong

I think you guys are forgetting the fact that we are 10 games into the season. We only have 2 games left and a bowl game.
Even though they aren't on the injury list guys are getting worn down in second halves.
We are 10 scholarship players down from most every team we play.
When you are down more than 10% of your team your depth is going to take a hit.
The NCAA cloud has severely hurt our recruiting, and it's most obvious with the DT's and linebackers.
We start a virginia 5th year cast off at DT. A converted safety in Cornelius at linebacker and a guy in Shayon who, despite great strength and heart, is limited athletically at defensive end.

As for Williams, I don't think of his early flag football games this year against Savannah State, FAU and USF, but his crunch time egg laying against UNC last year when he was the proverbial deer in the headlights.

It's Baby Jesus or bust next year.

Williams is pretty accurate. He doesn't have the arm strength that Morris does. I think he would have been a better option in the FSU game and VT game as you could tell that the high ankle sprain was affecting his ability to throw the ball, but now it is pretty pointless to try and make a change. Our bed is already made.

Morris is a much better player than he has played this year, and the ankle is much worse than he or anyone has admitted, so you have to give the kid some credit for the no excuse attitude he has displayed.

If true and we're not even considering Williams at 100% health, we are in deep doo doo.

Just like everyone was so quick to get rid of Jacory. Winning cures all. If Morris wins the next 3 everyone's views will change.

they didn't do it with jacory.. when it would have made sense.. they're not going to do it now..

plus golden needs to win these last 2.. or it's a bad look for year 3.
