Most on this board expect Williams to start. But come fall camp if the competition between Williams and Olsen is close who do you think the coaches should roll with? The senior? Or the freshman that will gain valuable experience by being thrown into the fire?

Maybe a talented true freshman named Brad Kaaya comes in to beat both out and win the job.

If the competition is close and you're coach Golden who would you start and why?

i would start the best player. the reality is ryan williams never beat out morris who was a disaster.

Easy answer. If competition is even, or close, you always go with experience. Especially because, as I have read, Williams has also mastered the playbook.

He said "if you're Coach Golden"...

If I was Coach Whopper, than I start Olsen switch off series between him and Kaaya until there is a clear difference.

yesterday...williams takes charge, gets his guys lined up..makes throws people on here assume he cant he will start unless injury...

Olsen was better than I expected, made solid throws....
Crow is a workhorse,,,,they use him hard in practice...GREAT BACK UP

Kaaya....100% red shirt

Williams shouldn't finish the season as the starter. But I don't think Golden has the balls to bench his loyal 5th year senior that stuck with the program during The Cloud.

Olsen should win job but Golden will make another weak decision (Jacory an Morris) and go with the senior, safer option. No cajones

Kenny Kelly will start the season but Ken Dorsey will pass him late in the season. History repeats

Nothing against Kaaya, but it makes me laugh at all the people who thought Kaaya was just going to be better than every QB on our roster from day one.

Its the now crowd....Olsen is legit...sharp tite spirals...just never know what he has between the heads when the lights come on...

Maybe if Kaaya was an EE, but no way a QB can come in with such little time and take the job from someone who's mastered the playbook and has command of the offense.

I say Williams . Thinking about the 2015 class you can tell them it's an open competition . But if Olsen or kaaya starts then we are ****ed

Ryan Williams stuck with us through a tough situation when he could have bailed to another school the like one he came from. Memphis. So since he didn't bolt for another "better situation" like another mid tier CUSA school, I think he has earned the right to play every snap this season regardless of how ****** he plays and how awesome Olsen or Kayaa look. Its only fair to him, and we are trying to teach life lessons in fairness here at the []_[] now. Why start the best player and miss an opportunity at a life lesson as valuable as this.
