Rotating offensive linemen

I am not a fan of this.

If it serves the purpose of sending a message to the rest of the team, fine. Nobody is safe as a starter. We're a young team, no worries.

But, if Kehoe is behind this crapola, I have a problem.

Just my opinion.

I'm surprised it hasn't effected our pass blocking more than it has. I'm also surprised we have a monstrous line full of specimens who can't block people off the ball to save their lives. Difficult to know how/if this is related to that, but in general I would prefer you pick the best 5 and go, with some spot rests here and there.

This. It blows my mind every time I see Bunche, Henderson, Feliciano and Linder out there looking like goliaths yet getting minimal push up front. Our linemen do a decent job of engaging the right defenders but nobody drives anyone off the ball. Do they know that it's not enough to just get your hands on a defender...you can actually push them as well?

when did JJ quit.. **** what a waste of talent. your 6.8 320 well I hope he at least has a degree. Maybe he can be a really tall chiropractor or something.

It's a good move on his part since he graduates this semester, he can transfer without sitting out a year.

You do realize most offensive lines are similar in size to Miami's, right?

Here's NC State's 2 deep:

T 74 Tyson Chandler | 6-6, 340, RS SO
67 Quincy McKinney | 6-4, 304, FR

T 64 Andrew Wallace | 6-5, 293, RS SR
71 Alex Barr | 6-7, 332, RS FR

G 79 R.J. Mattes | 6-6, 313, RS SR
62 Duran Christophe | 6-6, 302, RS JR

G 72 Zach Allen | 6-3, 328, RS SR
50 Cameron Fordham | 6-3, 286, RS SO

C 53 Camden Wentz | 6-3, 301, SR
54 Joe Thuney | 6-5, 265, RS FR

This staff obviously has there favorites. I was at the game yesterday and Henderson did not play well at all, but they kept him in the game still. I really didn't see the point in starting Ben Jones after one good game in five years! They should have just kept the rotation the same way. Now we are back to square one, i bet they don't announce how Henderson graded out this game. NC State just had sorry *** db's so we get away with this game.

We should be able to run the ball more effectively than we did yesterday with the guys we have. So look for some more flip flopping of our offensive tackles, lol. I've said it before, and i'll say it again, Bunche is not a left tackle!!! If he was a true freshman i'd be cool with it. Bunche should be a senior this year, so he is what he is, a GUARD. He's the strongest guy on the team so he should be able to give us that push that we need in the interior line.

Linder and Mcdermott are good with technique, but they provide no push!! Bunche is strong but has trouble engaging with people in space, so he often misses his person completely. Flowers is on a short leash, so the minute he makes a mistake he's taken out the game. His game is gonna suffer going forward with the short leash. Henderson is big and has the most talent, but just loses focus so easily during the game. Our tackles are currently flip flopping sides each week, so that's also a problem. This staff needs to decide on a starting five and just press forward with infrequent subbing.

Are run game suffered yesterday with all the substitutins and will continue too if we keep all this rotating of players.

we have to rotate if we're going to run a hurry up offense... i dont like it but we have no choice..

according to epsilon, who has almost no clue what he is talking about, our starting 5 suck.

Yeah, we are transitioning to a passing team if we do that. So we can't complain if our run game suffers. We will have to score 40+ points a game to win with our defense.

I'm just saying what i see. One week henderson is our left tackle, the next week he is at right. Ben Jones goes from never starting in five years playing left tackle then is our starter at right tackle? Is this how top programs operate their offensive line? This flip flopping is why B.Washington went pro instead of coming back to this mess

Would you come back, if u were him? Seriously.

wrong and even more clueless...i don't even know where to begin w/ the BW comments, the JJ quitting so he can transfer comments, the henderson comments.

I think the endless substitutions of the entire team might be the one of the main factors of the entire teams inconsistent play. Players get better with repetition especially young players. That isn't brain surgery, that's just common sense. I think the coaches are trying to out think the room on this one and we shouldn't give them a pass because they are our coaches. I've always heard that a good offensive line is one that has played a lot of snaps together. I don't think Golden and company have stumbled on to some new magic formula that changes years of proven coaching logic. They need to finally decide who the best guys are and go with them. I think the coaches are hurting the team on this one.
