ROSTER # Update

I'm not nearly as pessimistic as others concerning the D. We played last year with 5 corners TOTAL. Now we have 8. We came into last season terrified of what would happen when any starting linebacker got hurt, but now we know that Mike Smith, CJ Perry, and Bradley Jennings are serviceable players, and haven't even had a look at Steed and Joyner yet. The depth at end is admittedly very tight. DJax, Jo Jack, and Garvin are going to need to hold up this year, because Patchan has talent but stays hurt and Rousseau's a freshman. Given that he's super athletic and already up to 240 though, he ought to at least be able to contribute physically. At tackle, we're honestly loaded at the 3tech with Willis, Silvera, Bethel, and this Odenigbo cat. The big question will be at the 1tech, where Jon Ford is going to have to step up in a hurry, because developmental Jordan Miller is the only other guy at the position.

It's obviously not championship depth, but we thought it was just as bad (maybe even worse) last year and they played really well. If a QB can confidently seize the job and make our offense more efficient, we should be trouble for folks this year.

I would like to see an accurate one of these for Alabama and Georgia, just to see what jobe, campbell and surtain were looking at, at least as 1 factor in their respective decisions. We talk about depth chart opportunities at Miami, but other than RB at alabama, I don't know with actual data which schools at which positions have the best playing time opportunities for a freshman.

I would look for Marshall Few to be awarded a scholarship soon.

so we're at 82. depending on attrition and maybe a grad transfer or 2... id guess we'll be around 77-78 for the 2018 season

Add Knowles to the possible transfer list. I could easily see one of the senior WR's transfer. With 11 WR's on the roster, there's not enough balls to go around. Dallas should be moved to RB, not WR. Dallas is more likely to move to CB than back to WR at this point. Good list and better avatar.

For some reason when I downloaded the spreadsheet from Google docs it changed the colors/fonts of all the guys...must have missed those two. Cause I DEFINITELY had both of them (Knowles,Finley) in red.

But na, I think Deejay will be a wr mostly this yr. By the end of the season he was our backup slot wr

Moose will earn a scholarship soon. Mark my word, he's a high quality OL we're getting as a PWO.

reviewing the roster again, it is significantly better than it was 3 years ago. it would have been great to land 3-4 of the top guys we missed on the last two cycles, but it is crystal clear we have improved it dramatically and just need one or two very good classes to get real, real close.

Rousseau seems light at 205 lbs for defensive end. He might be better suited for OLB.

He is around 240.

Thanks for the correction. Both Rivals and ESPN have him at under 210. Those must be outdated weights from a couple years ago.

I'm sure he was about 220-225lbs when he got to campus.
and in the NSD interview, Mark Richt said Rousseau has stood out because he has already put on 15lbs since arriving on campus. That would put him right around 235-240lbs.

Dont think we've given the updated 2019 roster with accurate H/W yet.

You can look at 247 for that. Trust me though...it's just going to **** you off.

well to be complete honest Alabama is losing 5 starting DBs to the NFL - 3 CBs and 2 S..

And I don't think they signed a single CB last class.

They had a major need at DB this year, even with the fact they sign nothing but high end 4stars-5stars on a yearly basis. I really think Both Surtain and Jobe could start day 1 for them. Jobe more likely as a starting nickel type, but PS2 will likely be a full time starting CB for them.

We are a QB away from another shot at winning ACCCG. A better QB will result in a better defense and less chance of injuries depleting our somewhat thin depth at DE and experienced depth at DT.
It all revolves around better QB play than last year. Score more pts than other team and we win.
