Thoughts.

Positive
*RB finally looks solid like a UM roster should. This is true even if Dallas gets moved to CB.
*WR is even more stacked than the Butch days.
*OL is deep with young guys ready to blossom into trench thugs.
*QB is filled with talent and good separation in years.
*LB have depth across the board and a talented guy or 2 may even get to redshirt.
*S the 2 deep should be very strong. Redwine could be moved to CB if needed (even though that’d suck)

Negatives
*DE Not enough numbers and a Grad transfer is a good idea. You can’t be confident in Patchan or Djax.
*DT lots of unproven guys without much experience will be forced to get it real fast. Ford is the biggest DL since Calais. Nesta looks too
*CB This one really pains me. We’ve failed on our top targets three years in a row. Only 3 scholarships guys returning. One barely played in the 2 deep. A grad transfer here is a MUST.

Overall- Mark said today we’re a year away. We would have been close to full had Chatman and one of the CB’s came on board. That being said, there’s still a lot of dead weight in Knowles, Jones, Gray, McCray, Milo etc. The roster is heavy at OL and S. That tells you the coaches feel a couple of the guys there are JAGs. The defense is missing 2 DE’s and 2 CB’s. The offense is missing maybe one TE. Overall, the offense should be loaded. If they hit on the graduate transfers they’ll add at CB this should be a great season.

That makes sense because they offered 7 guys today/yesterday and signed 2. Five open spots would be 80. Had all 7 signed they’d be at 85.

Blue = Potentially Declaring Early for Draft.
Red = Potential transfer away.
Purple = Initial Counter (basically our Recruiting class)
Black = everyone else

Cant front the 3 previous regimes can not put together an offense like that on paper. Defense................we in trouble.......we still will never look worse than what Golden did even in a bad year.

We need to move Smith to DE. He sucks at LB so try him out at DE. Joyner might have to be a DE to.

Bro looking at this.. our DL situation is horrible. We have the defensive depth of a 8-4 team and the offensive talent of a 10-2 team. So I'll meet the record in the middle and say we go 9-3 which is probably good enough to win the coastal.
