Ronald Delancey got his offer

OK but a lot of the difference makers are telling us no, so then what?
I'm not saying don't pursue the kid or take him. I'm just saying as fans we overreact to this late offer stuff. When most likely the kid is rotational at best. Just let it play out. Miami is not good for alot of reasons right now. One of which is not offering a kid who's two best options are Nebraska who sucks just as much as us and Washington St.

That's very impressive tape...He's taken a step forward.

Diaz was at MNW vs. Central, I remember the article about the showdown back then...And I remember how Ivins and posters on this board saying Delancey balled out, he had just decommitted from Louisville...It's almost as if he gave UM and Diaz a couple of days to get in the picture and when they didn't he committed to Nebraska. Probably should have been offered right there. He and T.Burns put on a show that night by all accounts...

Someone else came out of that game with an offer. Forget who.

EDIT: The '22 Central LB was offered after the game, that's who.

Didn’t they do the same thing with Couch last season? Thinking he was too skinny before circling back after other targets went elsewhere. Hopefully he’s as receptive as Couch was.
I thought Couch committed before his senior year started. I do remember they were late but not this late.

If a Starting CB on CFBs GOAT team, who played alongside SeanTay...Reed and Buchanon has No say whatsoever in ref to who gets/doesn't get offers, then I honestly don't know what to say...

What's this got to do with identifying talent or organizational skills? I won't even talk about his persuasive skills...**** I'd prob actually like the dude in person, I don't like pushy people, loud people, bs artists, and would prob appreciate his no nonsense approach...But this dude couldn't sale water to a man on fire. Can't be that extreme, and then when you combine that he doesn't seem to understand the concept of tiers, takes commits/forces same commits out, etc, etc...

I understand what you are saying, but nobody is overreacting because it is a late offer. People have been saying he is the good and should have been got an offer, including me. I always thought he was good and is Miami quality.

Ehhh...But there are DB for days down here, and although some kids with this "ranking" from the DB capital of the world (State of FL, and specifically Sofla) are getting drafted every year.

Also: We need players, we have a team to field.

Does Rumph have any say in who gets CB offers or is this a Diaz and Baker decision?
Of course he does, he's literally the CB coach lol.

People on here only like to say he doesn't because they don't believe he's ever supposed to be accountable for CB recruiting but it's complete nonsense.

Every position coach has a hand in which players at their position gets offered. It varies from team to team & some staffs do it differently. Some coaches depending on their cache can offer a kid off their own autonomy based on how well they recruit & coach the position (for example a guy like Corey Raymond or a T-Rob) could offer any DB they want on their own, but most position coaches will have a particular player that they're evaluating & it will be based off of the recruiting board that the staff puts together & that position coach will essentially be assigned to certain prospects based on the region/area they recruit & which player in particular it is. They usually have to run it past their Coordinator & HC but most of that stuff is decided in congruency together when they're assembling the board & slotting each prospect as to where they value them.

Rarely are a position coach, a coordinator & a HC in super disagreement about a player, a coach can really campaign & pound the table for a specific player he may like based on tape he's seen & his eval, but the majority of the time position coach/coordinator/HC are usually all on the same page on which prospects they want to target & who they're going after.

it only matters when Miami offers late. Anyone else can get a pass. They would rather spend 5 years in the corn fields than feeling the least bit slighted by miami

Enough of this poor us bullsh*t narrative. Its three weeks before the early signing period and we are a sh*tty football team. We arent getting the benefits of the top tier teams.

When did the senior year stop mattering in recruiting? They liked his senior tape and they offered. Leave it at that. Also, the kid is probably pulling a lot of guys away from here. 2 decommits from northwestern in 1 week.

I thought the benefit of having all these kids nearby was that we could scout them year-round? Our staff didn't know he was a player until his senior tape got delivered into their office?

I hear you. I just see another Bandy, with that said he could very be Divaad from a few cycles ago who has NFL potential and was overlooked by Miami

I agree I'm just not losing my mind over this kid getting a "late" offer. Some kids need to be evaluated in their SR season. Look at Emilien from Heritage he's without a doubt a high quality WR but it took him putting SR season film to show that he was worth offering. That's kinda of the problem down here if you don't offer a kid as a 9th grader with no tape. Your disrespecting him.

I agree with byrdman15417, delancey seems like a baller but also A player the coaches should wait until senior tape to offer+ I think amanny is the guy to get the ship on the right course just give him 1 more seasons. If he flops season 2 I agree fire that *** along with James and Patke lol!
