Rodney Scott Commits

LOL at anyone conceding Jeudy to Alabama. Alabama couldn't even beat Folden head to head. Folden fcked up Amari Cooper's recruiting, or they never would have got him either.

Cooper on the dan le batard show: " im always going to be a miami fan. Ill root for them when they not playing bama but miami didnt croot me really "

Lololol

Welcome to the U Rodney. Been high on him for awhile, elite ball skills, route running ability and faster than you think. Don't sleep.

Welcome to the u kid
Havent seen the hilights though

As for JJ for him not even to consider and we geta visit and shoot up the rankinga behind the best recruiting school in the country, itsays we playing them games too. These r elite recruiters ladies n gents not shannon or ag who most thought were elite and were not

AG's problem wasn't that he didn't do a good job recruiting. He was just the most unexplainably worse football coaches I have ever seen. His recruiting good players kept him viable for a s long as it did.

Agree to disagree
He re ruited like a guy who can lose four game a year. He missed way too much and its yhes not here along with other reasons too

Who? Lol its crazy how y'all know every recruit in every class immediately. Can y'all start posting recruiting site rankings and positions these players play when y'all make threads like these?

I just can't believe I watched a highlight video of a WR that beat exactly zero people in the open field. I saw a lot of catches and down he goes. I think we can do better than a possession wr in HS. Maybe I am missing something, but I saw nothing there that jumped out at me. No game breaking speed, not great in the open field, ok routes, I guess above average hands. Kid does make some nice catches in traffic. Trust the staff on this I suppose.

He was quicker than I expected at the Rivals Camp. Exploded out of his breaks and got a lot of separation.

I wasn't at the Opening but I heard he stood out.

Money you my go to man for evaluations. No doubt this boy can catch a gnat in a hurricane, no pun intended. If the combine revealed anything it's that a 4.5 is sufficient to be an elite college receiver. If was quicker than expected and got separation, tells you he's faster as well. This boy can ball! Best hands of any receiver out there. Love the commit!

Mark Richt is off to a solid start on the recruiting trail in Coral Gables. After holding serve to finish up the 2016 class, the Hurricanes staff is laser-focused on creating momentum, filling needs and replenishing talent in the program. On Monday, Miami took a big step at doing just that at the receiver position, picking up a commitment from ESPN Jr.300 Rodney Scott.

Significance of impact: Miami enters the spring with a serious lack of depth at the receiver position. That alone makes the commitment of Scott a big one, given the need for playmakers on the outside. That combined with Scott hailing from Dade County makes the commitment that much more impactful. The Hurricanes now have seven ESPN Jr. 300 verbals, with five from Dade County and six from the all-important Dade and Broward County combo.

What he brings: No. 191 Scott is a 6-foot-1 receiver who can create and exploit mismatches on the perimeter with the ability to high-point the football and make difficult catches against attached coverage and in a crowd. Not just a run-and-catch receiver, Scott can maximize yards after the catch with the ability to change direction quickly making defenders miss. Adding strength to his frame while retaining and improving speed will be key in maximizing his ability.

Strength of commitment:
Scott’s commitment to Miami was not a surprise, as he'd previously listed the Hurricanes as his leader and made a couple of unofficial visits since the new staff was hired. Having teammate and fellow ESPN Jr. 300 receiver/flex tight end Kenmore Gamble committed, only helps. What helps most, however, is the ability to come in and make an instant impact with the Hurricanes lacking depth at the position.

Percent chance of the commit holding: 85 percent

Biggest threat:
Florida. If Miami struggles on the field this season and questions about the ability to win big in the future becomes a topic, the Gators could provide serious competition if Scott continues to make unofficial visits.

Welcome to the U, Mixed feelings about this pick up though, can not speak for majority programs but some programs fell off of him in favor of other prospects, that is a reason IMO he committed to us to secure a spot. Not really that big on him, it has nothing to do with his skill set, but I like Henley and others a lot more. If Dugans wanted Scott and not just Richt I trust this evaluation because Dugans loves explosiveness.

Well, it's good to know that the "percent chance of the commit holding" is 85 percent; I only had him at 82.3751%....

Percentages are.....amusing....
