Can't "lose" a recruiting battle for Stafford if you don't acknowledge that you made the effort to get the kid...

My take: with that much athleticism and twitch, combined with the natural moxie, you have to think the developmental upside is huge.

kind of kid that we usually never land, because he won't give us the time of day, ends up at an SEC school, so nobody pays that much emotional attention: and then we hear, 4 years later, something that goes like this:

"with their first pick in the second round, the kansas city chiefs select, robert stafford, CB, LSU"

and we go back to watching and waiting, to see which team our starting CB's sign their free agent contract with, after they go undrafted when they declare early. SMFH

I like the take but the kid is raw as a corner, going to need to get a true corner to pair with him. Damari brown better jump on board if he wants a spot.

If this young man was 6’3” instead of 5’11”, he would be committing to Coach L. He can legitimately hoop. Most of the time football players can play good defense and get to the rim. Stafford can shoot the rock. Words of wisdom to the class of ‘23, do not bet Stafford in a game of basketball. He will take your NIL money.

The corner tape that is out there looks very good imo

He can mirror and tie his shows standing up. Extremely twitchy...1st year? Nah...But I don't think he's too far off.

Busy with work, three small youngsters (all 7 and under). I'm in grad school again, which is really dumb, ha. Been following recruiting more just because I've made friends with some decent sources and they are excited, which is infectious. I used to only care once they signed, but it's a bit more interesting with Mario.

Life is good. Enjoying being a poster on the board every now and then.
