I coached this kid in baseball. He is even better at football. He is an elite OL for a 5-0 team up here. Kid is the real deal. Super kid with high leadership skills. I really wish our coaches would take a look. Some team is going to take him and not be disappointed. Just want us the one to do so.

Height, weight, any D1 offers? Does he even have a 247 page?
Riley doesn't list his height or weight. He is a two sport star, baseball and football. So he isn't your normal OL athlete in terms of weight because he LOVES baseball. But he is super smart. He understands both baseball and football and excels in both. Maybe the smartest kid I ever coached in my life. That means something to me.

He has won state championships in Virginia in baseball but I think he can win championships in both football and baseball. He is that good.

If this is him, Perfect Game list him at 6’0 235 pds. Don’t know how accurate or old that is but if Little Lou is out of eligibility then maybe he can replace him

Kid is an absolute stud. Never met someone like him. His dad is a cop so no moral issues. Just the kind of kid you want to play for you. His competiveness is second to none. Canes please evaluate him. You won't be disappointed.

I doubt our staff is looking through message boards to find kids to evaluate. I'd recommend reaching out to a recruiting staff member through email, and send them the kids contact information, school and coaches contact information, measureables, classroom stats, and links to game film. You'd have much better luck that way

If you're referring to Riley Trainor at Gainesville VA, then he is 240lbs and his best p5 option is as a walk on long snapper. Also as a coach you know that physical measurables plays a part in being an "elite Olinemen", an Trainor is on the small side.

Go Canes

On that squat video, he looks to be about the same size as the poster mentioned above….. around 6’0, 235lbs. Is that correct? If it is, please know that I mean NO disrespect when I say this. But Sir, no P5 coach is giving offers to any OL with those measurements. I’m pretty sure he’s a **** of a football player, and a great kid. He’s probably gonna make some lil gal, a great husband, one day…but if Mirabol can **** near look him in the eye, then he’s too short for a scholarship offer from the Canes, or any other D1 program, for that matter. I get it. I coach also. We all want the best for our kids, but unfortunately, when it comes to recruiting college football players, it’s a numbers game. If he was 6’3+ 265-270ish, then i'm sure some P5 school would give him a look, a few would probably pull the trigger, and give him an offer. With all the competition out here nowadays for football players, size will always get the benefit of the doubt, no matter the position, but especially on the OL. That said, there are some lower level college football programs out there, that would probably be able to take a chance on a smaller OL, if he wants to play college football.
