Richt Presser

With the numbers we signed we will play with about 78 players. Adding 7 four star guys means your team can continue to play with injuries and fatigue. We are not back.

This. The numbers just aren’t there and that’s finally on Richt.

Imagine if we had another DE, DT, LB, CB, S, OL, and RB/WR. We’d all feel a lot better.

We’re essentially self-probationing ourselves.

The D is going to be a liability with our low numbers (and young guys playing). Hopefully we can win the shootouts.

Very talented D. If shootouts come it’s purely on Diaz

He wasn’t lying. All the positives are true. He discribed the class we got, which is very good not the one we came up short on which would have been great. Nor was he talking about the class it could have been if Butch was our HC — sorry I just couldn’t help myself. If you look close, the teams in front of us are flattening out an we have gained on the top. Bama lost its death grip on talent. None of the ones above us replaced them, merely damaged them. That’s my best rosy picture I can manage.

Of course he's going to say he likes the class. Pure coach speak.

That said, it is a good class. It's just that it should have been a bit better if we didn't have some ****-poor recruiters on our coaching staff.

Miami got some real dogs in this class. Didn't finish da way we wanted but these dogs can hunt.

It should be a requirement that all the Richt critics who didn’t want him hired or want him out now to share their viable replacement. Viable meaning we would actually spend the dollars and/or attract their dream coach. And save the Butch posts as NOBODY but FIU hired him. I guess we would have been better off hiring Schiano, or Mullen, or Cristobal??? We have a top 7-8 class with studs up and down the line. No we didn’t get Surtain and Campbell...I can’t imagine why they would want to play for two of the best programs going in great college towns in front of almost 100,000 crazy diehards. Winning cures everything and we are winning more and adding stars that will make us even better. We had literally 15 years of poor leadership that doesn’t get unwound overnight unless you can actually hire a Saban or Meyer.

I'm not watching this ****. I don't want sunshine blown up my ***.... I want better results.

What better results would you like outside of 2 DB's and Coburn today? Asking in all seriousness. If this class signed today, instead of December, taking all the drama away, I think we'd all be pretty **** happy. PS2 and TC are failures, no doubt about it, should've landed 1 of them, but it's not like we have scrubs at DB. Gil, Ivey, Hall, and Blades are BIGTIME.

This class is loaded top to bottom.

We need to be landing around 20 kids each cycle that are 4/5 stars.

I think we ended up at 15.

It's a high bar, but that's where Alabama/Georgia/Ohio State/etc are at the moment, so that's what we need to be doing just to keep up.

Shut up. Bama had a dam walk on startin this past year in the secondary. Bottom line is a good/great coach will get good/great players and do something with them. That's it. Either richt is that guy our he isn't.

We had to make a hire with a 0% chance of being a bust because another 4-5 years of bad football and Miami would be Duke. Known only as a basketball school. So Richt was the smart choice to get Miami off the mat but sadly I don't see him winning a chip in next 4 years. Diaz doesn't impress me and I was disappointed in the offense last year. Look at Super bowl this year - Pedersen calls plays on O, and dug into his bag of tricks to pull out off a ballsy 4th down TD. How many times did Richt show creativity? We didn't see the Wildcat til the ND game. Richt is an honorable man and he'll have us in the ACC championship game most years, but I just don't see a savage. You have a long *** track record at UGA that shows you what his future at Miami likely holds. The thing that gets Miami over the hump is Richt stacking chips, then Miami hires a savage like Lane Kiffin who will fingerblast college football and the U will live up to its reputation. College football will never love Miami, I embrace being the bad guy. I think recruits will too.

Did Richt have the Eagles' Oline?

You can call a lot of creative **** when your QB exits the field after 60 minutes with a clean jersey.

Nobody is calling for Richt to get fired. He's a great coach. We're calling for him to make some changes. He should upgrade some of his assistants and help out more in the defensive recruiting.

Finished 6th on rivals. Better than Alabama and Clemson

But you ****ers complaining and saying it's only good

Psychos

Well there are some suggesting he should go and many that say he’ll never win a title. That says to me that they want somebody else. If so, who? I agree he needs to make changes and he is far from perfect but he is the best we can get. With more talent, I don’t think it is a leap of faith to think he will look like a better coach.

Gents, I'm not trying to troll. Thing is, if another program hired Bob Stoops, who actually has a higher winning percentage than Richt, you would die laughing because you know his track record.

You can't complain about who we got. There are a few question marks with various players, but nobody jumps out to me as a complete reach like we had under the last two coaches.

Feel free to complain about who we missed. That's valid, but in turn we may have reached as well. What I mean by that is that we're still trying to come back, show we are back, and here to stay. Head to head with the national champ and the runner up. A bright and upcoming Texas coach, those Texas guys very rarely leave. Those three would've set the nation on notice. Win more games and we'll get those guys.

All in all, good class. Short on some numbers at various positions, but I'm glad they just didn't take someone to fill those shortages.
