To the unwashed-DE is a position in which you pluck tall fast guys out of high school and give them at least a year to mature. Most of these guys need to put weight muscle on and learn technique in their first year or 2. Give the kid some time people -Jeez.

He's the type of player that contributes as a redshirt sophomore the earliest

Its going to be a long season. He'll definitely get a few snaps this year, which is fine. Anyone that was expecting him to be a major contributor this year isn't looking at this thing right.

I dont recall him being a fringe guy. He was recruited heavily.

he was not heavily recruited but his other offers were impressive. butch wanted him at UNC and tommy tuberville wanted him at TT

also lets not lose site of the fact that hes ONLY a RSFr and that he came onto campus a year ago at 210lbs. next year he will get reps as a DE/OLB hybrid, which is the position hes best suited to play
