Rhett you could have won National Championships

Brady this and Brady that how the **** do you know much about him other than running a basic pro style offense not the spread. The spread is everywhere now in football.

Sorry, Mrs. Lashlee. If you ever watched another college game, you would have seen a play called the QB sneak which is run under center.

The bottom is dumb and deserves no serious response

But I’d say majority of this board didn’t like Rhett this szn. So it’s really revisionist history. As u said and I agree, as the oline got settled you saw what Rhett was able to do. He’s one of these in America at having explosives in his Pocket every game. And he had great timing on when to use them. This szn was one of the best coaching jobs I’ve seen from a offensive Coordinator in a very long time. He deserved the opportunity at SMU. I genuinely wish every member of this past staff from top to bottom the best of luck going forward. The school ADmitted what we all knew..the resources committed towards the football program was lacking..but we expected to compete with championships..that is what it is. I’m happy we getting our **** together

The majority thought that way in the middle of the season I guarantee you if there was a vote for him to stay he would win. Guarantee it !!!!

Being a driver keeps my job Shift Manager could lose my job. Rather see the spread these days I seriously wonder what happens if we go too conventional and Brady from what I see fits that bill. We were up tempo and it was unique for a Miami team. We averaged what 30 points a game even in two loses that is unheard of for Miami.

If Lashlee gets SMU consistenly ranked and continues to build them up, he will get a big time HC job soon enough.
 
Did Lash ever leave a formal statement about his time with the Canes ? Rhett was a very nice guy he was what I call a class act.

Lashlee wasn't that good. Everyone's been so traumatized by the last 15 years no one realizes he's a good but not great OC.

He wasn't guaranteed to be retained under Mario. Also, you don't turn down an opportunity of a lifetime. There will always be a market for Rhett when decides to be an OC again.

Obviously you don’t turn down a Head coaching opportunity I know that. Perhaps the title of the thread was a little misleading but I was really insinuating that Mario would have kept Lashlee you can agree or disagree with that….peace.
 
How many times have you been offered a better position, with more money, influence and power and TURNED IT DOWN?

Additionally, if your coaches arent being hired away, it generally means they suck.

You can't blame him for moving on for a HC position while his current HC looked like he was about to be fired
 
Good move for Lashlee. He's a solid coordinator, offense looked much better when not handcuffed by a QB with certain limitations. It was the right time to take the promotion and jump ship based on the info he had.

And he's only 38. I'm rooting for him to crush it. Always good to have potential future head coaches with "Miami guys" ties out there.
