If True; how is this not a NCAA recruiting violation? If we see Surtain Sr as an “assistant” DB coach for Bama, then F recruiting. No way u could win. Just topple the NCAA already.

We had Ice Harris as an assistant and got Brandon Harris. Ice didn't even have a degree..

As far as I can tell, the DB coach made $405,000 in 2017.

Just to restate the rule. If the coach is hired as an onfield coach there is no violation. If the coach is hired for an admin role you cannot recruit the school.

Joe sure seemed to think that Pat Sr. was going to Alabama to coach DBs based off their discussion. It also sounded like we were never really in it for Pat Jr., and the visits were just out of courtesy and to hang with his teammates. TIFWIW
