Show me a link to the source of that quote. If he says it all the time, then there should be plenty of links.
Just so you know, this took me all of 5 seconds to look up. Nothing against you Dingaan so don't take this the wrong way, because this is more in response to someone else who kept trying to make me do all the work to prove him wrong without doing any research himself to prove he was right, but I swear people on this board are lazy as ****. I could understand if it was difficult to find, but literally, the first link that came up was this article. I can also understand people wanting evidence provided, but again, this one was beyond easy to find.

I didn't say he never said it. But it was posted as if this was just spoken. The OP left off the link - maybe because it was from Nov. 2012? Taken in the context of the 2012 season and who we had to give playing time to - and why (early defections), the comments are right on target. I agree with what Golden expressed in that article
at that time. I thought it was a little disingenuous for the OP to not provide the time context. If Golden had said that after the 2013 season, then he would you have something.
Also, it wasn't a matter of me, or you looking it up. I sort of wanted the OP to post the link.
And, this in no way excuses the defensive failures of 2013.
When someone has an agenda, facts are easy to be overlooked. "Kids" as in young kids is what we had playing on D at the end of 2012, again, AT THE END OF THE 2012 season which is when this article is from.
This is the 2-deep for the last game against Duke, which we won by the way.
14 out of 22 in the 2-deep were freshmen or sophmores....MORE THAN HALF, 64% to be exact.
