Recruiting writers and narratives

These writers are just that ”writers“. They set narratives while building their customers up. On top of that mix in they aren’t used to losing kids so they play the “Miami came in late “ card.

Fact is it’s always been easy being a prognosticator for the UGA’s, Bama‘s and OSU’s of the world. If one of those schools were involved and wanted said recruit it was easy money. Even if there was some uncertainty. Just put everything on red, Scarlett or crimson and let it ride.

Well there’s a new plumber in town and his name is Mario. He’s shaken up the ole boys network and they needed a quick excuse to cover for their sudden losing streaks to a non elitist program. We knew all along Miami was a legit threat for these recruits we’re landing, but let them keep filling their subscribers heads full of nonsense. Let them figure it out for themselves…..the hard way.

Things are changing.
UGA will be saying the same about M’Bemba when it comes down to it. They only got that crystal ball because he’s right with the LBs coach that was the first to offer him when he was at KU.

Maybe those hick towns have been dropping so much more money to make kids come to those schools from the jump. Miami is actually giving them above the table income with taxes involved to live in Sourh Beach. People that get money move here so let’s not act we have to over pay to get a kid. If anything just be close or in the same ball park. I mean have people been to Athens and Tuscaloosa ? Lol
The problem is this basic idea will never be fully recognized/accepted/appreciated in the national conversation, for obvious reasons. So there will be countless crazy narratives if we shift the balance of power.

I’m ready for it, but the whole thing is disingenuous because talking about how the SEC and OSU rose to power is taboo

Until there is a precedent with a UM or also a TX back to stealing top end recruits it is much easier to assume that the known established juggernauts like Bama UGA OSU , AND CLEMSON will win in the end because they have for 15 years.

USC
TX
Miami
Oregon

Programs like this peeling off top talent again is not something they were ready for because again the top classes for 10 years have been those 3 schools primarily.

hope you dont mind that i fixed it 4 u's

When we have the best facilities in the country, with one of the best staffs in the country consistently churning out draft picks and routinely win 11 games a year will it still be because of NIL? Mario is selling vision of what's to come and the media isn't buying in yet but guess who is lol.

If you are successful it can only and will always be because of bags.

Agreed. This recruiting season has been the biggest testament to the quality of knowledge and insider we have access to at CIS. Y’all are lapping the field
Really our people have always been really good. It's just that in the past they were usually telling us why we were NOT getting a recruit. We wanted not to believe them but if you look at the history of our insiders they were really, really strong even when we hated the news.

Well, yes. It might help — partly perhaps —to explain why we’re out-recruiting big schools. Let’s not be naive.

Not saying our guys aren’t stud recruiters.
I would argue, as a number of us have been for months now, that what NIL did was change who is providing the money. It's no longer the local booster who loves putting his 5-20k into the pot to help local university recruit. Which, when combined with his like minded friends, meant that the local university could put together fairly substantial duffel bags of money for key recruits, obviously position dependent. And a few local boosters could even help provide a job for a few years, or severely discounted housing for family members of the prized recruit (see Tua at Bama).

But that form of payment had zero appeal to legit businesses who understand the marketing value of college athletes. In Atlanta on I-75 there is a large billboard for the law firm Morgan and Morgan featuring Jordan Davis from UGA. Morgan and Morgan is never doing under the table payments. But now they get real value for their investment and a business expense deduction for marketing.

Larger cities simply have fewer of the first example of boosters, and more of the second example of corporations. And the corporations are bigger and they ALWAYS win. I compare this to the mob running Vegas and skimming off the top (boosters) until MGM and Caesars moved in with much greater money and moved the mob right out of Vegas using nothing but excessive amounts of money. We will win this battle, as will USC and a handful of other universities.

Michigan State doesn't have 1/1000th of the accomplishments of the Miami football program. Their fans can **** a male camel's ****. **** Sparty.
MSU fans were on Twitter saying “tuck coming” all of June when they were getting kids on campus( leaving with out commitments). Just like Florida MSU has bragged about there collective but when it’s time to pony up they are nowhere to be found. Does NIL have something to do with this momentum of course but let’s not act like Mario hasn’t landed elite OL recruits in the past.
