@jmcanes22 are absolutely correct about Nickel. I don’t think he has the camp measureables that seem to overwhelm rankings, especially for QB’s. My problem wit this is that while height, speed and arm strength are obviously important, what camp settings cannot measure is mental processing speed/decision making, which I believe is the single greatest differentiator between QBs. There are plenty of tall, strong armed QBs who take too long to diagnose a play and end up making bad decisions.
I have seen Nickel play twice, once in person against a good team, and once on TV for the state championship game.I am not a QB expert like some people on CIS. But I will say I saw good decision after good decision, whether throwing or running. I saw passes delivered on time over and over again. And I saw a true winner and leader. I would not trade Nickel for anyone.
