Wanted to put some thought I had on the 2024 class with roughly 50-days until these guys hold their commitments? I honestly don’t know what is going to be signed in a few weeks now that the NLI is null and void.

In any case, here we go…

Top 3 guys I think will significantly increase their composite rankings by the time they enroll.
1. Brock Schott
2. Tim Merritt
3. Daylan Upshaw

Top three guys I think will drop significantly by the time they enroll.
1. Drake Stubbs played poorly when I saw him live vs Bradford.
2. Antoine due to the injury (not participating in post season games)
3. Luke Nickel because 247 hates this kid for some reason.

Top three players in this class regardless of ranking.
1. Brock Schott will contribute as a Freshmens
2. TK Muex can play DT!
3. Girard Pringle will send someone in the RB room packing when he comes in January.

Three guys who aren’t as good as I thought
1. Gavin Nix
2. Drake Stubbs
3. Luka Gilbert

That’s perfectly fine, sir.

But it’s not negative, it’s an opinion.

I didn’t see Gilbert live, but I definitely saw Nix and Stubbs.

Is Stubbs out of position?

Is he a LB or even grow into a Jack by the time he hits campus/soph year?

SJ Alofaituli? Thoughts?

not entirely but a couple of your categories have a negative connotation.

I am a firm believer that Mario has earned a little bit of a longer leash when it comes to recruiting.

If you listen to the CIS podcast the other day, every player currently committed is amazing.

Your Stubbs and Nix assessments are my biggest concern. These are two guys who looked amazing in their Junior HUDL highlights. What about their senior performances triggered your reaction that they’re overrated?
I haven’t seen Stubbs live, that said, I think he is a great player but he isn’t exactly what the doctor ordered as it pertains to what currently ails our secondary.

It's a shame they don't give Nickle is due. I understand why Andrea Livins doesn't give him more praise. From all the clips of him throwing and moving around against good competition, you would think he would be more in the discussion of top QBs.

There just isn't any thought put into games and players anymore. Very lazy on the "Experts" part but I guess that comes with the Harry Potter generation.

It's like people being surprised about the Va Tech score even though they have a good team and our 2nd biggest rival on a Friday night. Or having to travel 7 hours in a plane and be three hours behind in time and being a bit sluggish to start the game.

None of it is ever considered. Easier travel week. We will kick the sh** out of Louisville by the way.

The game I was at, he was playing shallow and was biting a lot on motions and fakes. He’s young and can definitely improve eye discipline, but I was discouraged by how he kept falling for the same **** from similar formations.

Ivins is a typical nerd who gets aroused by measurables and doesn't give two ***** about play on the field.
