Recruiting Budgets

If this is not buying players, tell me what is? The SEC has been buying players for soooo long.

There has to be a cap somehow in college. There has to be a cap in how many 5 stars and 4 stars a school can sign in a year in order to spread the wealth around and create better competition. Its been the same suspects year in and year out in college.

Ummm, recruiting budgets have nothing to do w paying players. Lol.

This is about the resources that are allocated to recruit (e.g: transportation, OVs, UOVs, lodging, phone charges postage, etc.)

You guys really think Kirby wasn’t a strong DC???

Anyone saying anything to the contrary is just being a hater & a bitter homer. Smart has always been an elite DC & recruiter.

Ppl forget the early struggles of UGA was predicated on The O side of the ball; the defense immediately became elite w/ his signature.

6 of the 10 on this list finished top-10 in recruiting
3 of the 10 on this listed finished top-15
Michigan finished outside the top 15, & it could be argued that was all on Harbaugh flirting w/ NFL before deciding he was staying put at the last hr. Surprised O$U is not on this list. I’m also curious to know how much SC & we spent on recruiting being both are private schools & are not obligated to divulge such info.

Cristobal should follow in Richt's footsteps and put his own money into this. Richt put a million into the IPF. Cristobal should kick in a million of his own salary into the recruiting budget. I'll also accept him setting aside a million for refunds to fans who bought tickets to watch UM last season.

Combine this with Doge and you have a recipe for a ton of success. Their defenses are laughably deep year after year, in an epoch where even the best CFB defenses just slow you down.

I imagine there are discretionary expenditures that aren't for public consumption.

The ole' Cheetah business lunch fund... a little bit of "walking around" money... petty cash for when the student aide shows up crying and pregnant (and Coach Gattis is looking around mad nervous)...

all pretty standard.
