I have been one of the biggest proponents in voicing the valid concern for receiver recruiting. Yeah we have missed on some of our top targets but the more I think about it we really are not that bad off. First Mike harley looks like a flip to Miami is imminent. Secondly baby njoku is an intriguing prospect who seems like we have struck gold again. Finally after watching deejay Dallas tape I think he will play a lot at receiver over his career at Miami so it's time to start counting him over on that side of the ball as far as numbers in this class goes. We need to land at least one more to give us a 4th receiver hopefully it's devonta smith somehow. With deejay playing receiver the cb recruiting will will be straight when dean flips and if we get Brian Edwards. We will be fine. Have to close next cycle on the elite prospects in south Florida in 2018. It's too many of them I don't see how we don't

What makes you believe a Harley flip to Miami is eminent??

Imminent u ****** not eminent as in 'eminent domain'. How da *** u expect ppl 2 respect ur shiit when u can't use the mothers tongue, lmmfao.

This is a fact that no recruiting expert or moderators including this forum don't want to address. Besides Donaldson recruiting is just average on the offensive side. No excuse!! Georgia/LSU/Tenn are just killing it

****, do any of you guys know the meaning of the word "average"? #12 class is not average. 75% of teams would give a nut to have that kind of class. It's not as good as it should be, but it's not average. And for **** sake, lets stop with "average at best".

Ur dealing with wanna bees who epitomize the very definition of average.

Just when I'm feeling u Brock, u go back to the dopey apologist again. Take off the glasses. I'm a rah, rah guy for my Canes but to act like we ain't scrugglin at WR is a complete Foolish. Thus far, Richt and his staff have not gotten it done at that need. We can't keep loading up on plan B guys and slow playing guys who should be here, b/c at the end of the day, they may not be here when we need them.

I never get why we care what SEC recruiting ratings are compare to our. Unless the are on our schedule I don't care. If we get a bowl game against them the we will see who developed better. I know this board would be boring but recruiting has only two days to were about early enrollment in Jan. and Feb 1. Otherwise this chicken little theories just get old..

This is going a bit far. We definitely have quality players in this class. Let it finish and we'll know more.

We won't be able to "clean house" in south Florida until we win. We lost four in a row this year which was pathetic. It should have been a 1 or 2-loss team.

The important thing about this class is maybe outside of Dykstra, there are no reaches every recruit we have coming in will be able to contribute, and possibly start some day (Im assuming we close w Edwards, Dean, Harley, Slaton, and Herbert).

It's a scrub free class.

I'd also rather them save spots and not fill them w Plan C and D kids just bc we have the space.

There's no question however that we absolutely bungled our WR recruiting this year, and I'm not even talking aboutbJeudy (Who never was going to come). Ridiculous for us to waste our time chasing dudes in SEC country when there were some solid prospects in our backyard.

Yep, lets judge a class before it ever steps on the field. Let's question it before it meshes with what is already in place, and what is yet to come. Let's just look at stars, because we know the "gurus" are always right. Then let's just bash kids by name before they ever take a snap, because if they do not have 4+ stars, or if some recruiting expert did not praise them, then they are a bust.

Boo f'ing hoo, we lost 4 games in a row. Yeah it sucked, FSU was heart breaking, ND no excuse, UNC mind numbing and VT was 49 players. But the team adjusted, played with heart and didn't give up. We have a chance to be ranked and win a bowl game for the first time in many years. Yeah, I want more, but that is progress, and I'll take that as a win over what I have seen over the past 15 years.

Also, some seem to forget Fat Al burned many bridges in this area. They just don't rebuild when some random coach from UM walks in. It has hurt us, and many of the so called studs were lost long ago. You see it here, look how many players are offered as freshman and sophmores now. How do you pull a kid from a team that wins and has a staff and facitities and connections like Bama or FSU when thay have been committed to them for a year or more? Players like ***an and Jeudy were dreams, yet Richt and Co will have some that will complain that they suck for not getting them. UGA still has recriutung ties on their staff from the Richt era, and Richt let it in good shape unlike Al at UM. Perhaps that is why they (UGA) are having a good class, ever consider that naysayers?

I'm just tired of seeing a failing staff. Recruiting under Randy was bad. He alienated all local schools except MNW. Golden landed few studs, but then sent out 1 millions offers. collecting early commits then only to have a massive wave of decommits. I mean at somepoint the recruiting blueprint needs to change.

Why offer guys like Rodny Scott, Dingle, etc early and wait to last second to offer Harley? Why drop Gamble only to recruit him later on? Why string along Bandy for months before offering? Why not tell Edwards he can play anywhere just to get him on campus? This is exactly the type of **** that happened with previous staffs.

Recruiting clearly needs to be re evaluated. People pretend not to see it but situations like Dingle and Scott will hurt us at those local schools going forward. Miami has access to these kids 247 365. No other school has that. We need to better identify what kids we are targeting and stay on them.

And finailly, when it comes to elite recruits: play the game or continue to be "at the table".

I apologize if I come across being negative, but we can't seem to get out of our own way. And we haven't been relevant in a long time. It takes a toll. CMR is getting paid quite a bit. I expect him and his staff to do better.

Agree with most of this statement actually

Me too. We do a lot of it to ourselves.
