Rayshawn Jenkins quote about Brad Kaaya

"He's very smart with the ball and doesn't turn the ball over." After Jacory and Stephen this quote makes me very happy

Except I bet if you were to go back and look, you could find quotes from Harris and Morris' teammates saying the same things about them. And probably for Marve and Wright before that. Every offseason is filled with boilerplate quotes from UM players to journalists about how player X looks ______ and really______ and is definitely _______.

++....have never read too much into these type of reports. The only thing that matter is whats done when the lights come on. Rest of the talk meaningless.

We hear the same thing every year... Let's finally prove it...

Well, Kaaya makes the "All-Airport" team. When is the last time Miami has had a physically imposing true freshman quarterback roll into campus? This kids has 35 pounds on Ken Dorsey at the same stage and he is a much better athlete. By all accounts, this kid is smart and a hardworker and doesn't appear to have a sense of entitlement that we've seen from the other kids who have rolled in. He also appears to be level headed. It is nonsense that a true freshman can't play reasonably well. It's not the preferred route granted but in the right situation with the right kid you can be successful. Miami has 3 veteran offensive linemen; veteran wide receivers and tight ends; and a darn good running back. I hope they give the kid the real opportunity to compete. I'd be surprised if he starts early. I won't be surprised if he starts near the end of the season.

I hear he's still regarded as "built"......for a catheter salesman.

AL Gordon needs to cut media access to his program, immediately. This stuff is getting out of control. Would not be surprised to see Jenkins "suspended" for the first two games, until he can act like Ed Reed. Entitlement, de-recruit a kid, slurpees, early bedtimes and no stories.

This kid has at least 20 pounds on Kyle Wright at the same point. Wright came into Miami looking like he'd never seen a weight room.

And so would I. LoL, you're the guy that introduced Kyle Wright. We haven't had a kid with this type of body ready to play right away. My point on another thread is Kenny after getting beaten up in Blackburg looked like a poised veteran in the 3 games he started as a true freshman. This kid has a maturity we haven't seen around Coral Gables since Kenny. We'll find out soon enough if this kid can help this year.

To me this is more of an indictment of the current DB's. If you can't pick a true freshman off in summer practice, then you're doing it wrong.

KW was a very athletic 6'4 210lb freshman with a big arm....

I think he certainly has a future, but barring injury, it isn't this year. The transfer I believe is the starter in the coaches eyes. I'm not saying that they'll just hand him the job, but they didn't bring him in here for no reason. I have little to no faith in KO, never mind Gray Crow.

The transfer is the best thing that could have ever happened to Kaaya. Either he truly earns the job this year OR gets the chance to shirt.

Kyle was no bigger than 195 pounds when he showed up for spring ball.
