An attorney representing former Miami safety Ray-Ray Armstrong says he plans to file an injunction this week asking the school to allow Armstrong to practice with the team until the NCAA determines if he has violated any bylaws.

"Miami made a unilateral decision to dismiss Ray-Ray without NCAA process," attorney Matt Morgan of Orlando said. "We believe Miami is using Ray-Ray as a sacrificial lamb to the NCAA."

According to Morgan, Armstrong was dismissed after several incidents. Armstrong attended a dinner with his girlfriend, who works for a sports public relations firm and who paid was called into question. Another time, according to Morgan, Armstrong was at a South Florida hotel with his girlfriend. When questioned, he failed to admit being there before then saying he was, but that she paid for the room.

"Why should Ray-Ray's draft status be affected?" Morgan said. "Why should he have to play at a NAIA or Division II school this year when to my knowledge the NCAA has not concluded he even violated rules?"

In a statement provided by Morgan, Armstrong said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent with The University of Miami. I hope they reconsider their decision and allow me to play football as a Hurricane this season."

Well I think letting him practice now would just be awkward for everybody involved.

It would be better for everybody if he just moved on. Why force a team to take you back when the head coach doesn't want you?

I would love to have Ray Ray in the secondary this year. I actually think he got a raw deal even though his actions were dumb. The only reason he's gone is because we're under the microscope of the NCAA right now. I'd like to know if what he did was wrong and if he didn't ask the NCAA if we could handle it in house to see if the new controls that have been put in place are working properly. That is why we're cooperating and installing a new front office correct? His girlfriend is successful and paid for a room and dinner and he had to explain that? That's none of the NCAA's GD business! That's what I'd tell them. Ryan Williams got married. What does his girl do? How much does she make? How much is she worth? Is it any of the NCAA's business?

Sorry for the rant...:ohlord:

No skin off our back if he somehow gets on the team. If something were to happen where RR violates rules then UM can always say, "we tried kicking him off...". Of course this is all moot if RR relationship with Golden and the staff is beyond repair and detrimental to the team morale.

Why would Ray Ray even want to come back? He knows he's not wanted and wouldn't get a fair shot most likely.

This is just a bad situation for everyone.

Be a man dude and walk away. Get your free private school university education degree and get yourself eligible for next year's NFL draft
. Any other advice your getting is wrong RR.

Even if he somehow got an injunction, does he actually think Golden would play him? He would ride the pine all year. Whats next? Morgan & Morgan sue UM to force the coaches to play him?? SMH.

I feel as if it wasn't really golden that was tired of Ray Ray. The decision to dismiss him probably came more from the school executives who couldn't handle any more mad press. I'm all for RR coming back, not sure if **** be able to get his starting job back, but we could use some safety help.
