Rashard Robinson Update

Butch also benefitted from maybe a once in a lifetime Dade talent cycle. It takes nothing away from him, but the talent that came up where he was here is mind-boggling. NFL HOF types. I'd write it all out but I've written this post too many times over the years:-) You guys know the players.

I like this kids upside more so than VHIII or Alexander. That being said....I fully expect he'll be a Tiger when it's all said and done. Kids trying to build up some suspense on his recruitment. Although with GoldenAl, you never know.

And there's a laundry list 3 miles long of guys outside Dade, especially less heralded ones, that he brought in who turned out to be some of UM's most legendary players.

I'm not too worried about the numbers. Just like every year, there's always a guy committed that doesn't end up signing with you, whether it's him being pushed out, him choosing another school, or grades issues. Don't be surprised when it happens again this year.

How many of those animals he recruited to UNC were from Dade?

Not many. I hate **** Davis, but you gotta recognize. The dude is a HS personnel savant. There's no avoiding it or attempting to excuse it away.

Dade is always full of talent.

Last time I looked, Coral Springs was not in Dade County.

Ah, thought we were going with "south Florida bias". Tip of the hat to you, Wingz

Who do we turn away?

6 -- LAFF LAFF LAFF
Kirkland -- OL is a priority
Collins -- obviously a big fish
Coley -- I think he's the only WR who has a committable offer
Williams -- If we were going to drop him, we would've done it after the AQM commitment
Grace -- His spot is being reserved for NSD
Bostwick -- great prospect at a position of need
Bryant -- ditto
Robinson -- Seems like we're still going hard after him (although he might have to go to prep)

As far as I know, all of these guys have committable offers. I don't see who we turn away if they all want in.

I think some guys already on the roster get shown the door.

We just ask one of our current commits to walk on before we turn any of those guys away.

FIFY:

We just ask one of our current players to walk off before we turn any of those guys away.

Absolutely. You have to extend outside dade. As I said, I take nothing away from him, but that cycle was the core of the most talented roster in NFL history, and the cluster within a dozen miles of the school was outrageous. But he kept them home and pulled some sleepers that paid off too.
