Didn't help that he grew up with the Canes being mostly 6-6 while other programs were hitting big bowls or the playoffs.

Probably goes even deeper than that. Maybe he liked Miami a ton and hence why he committed there but is a country kid at heart and didn’t vibe with the more urban setup? Maybe he had some friends going to Auburn as well. Whatever happened, something clicked at Auburn. It happens.

So I guess my question is was Auburn a school he liked growing up or did they just pop up out of nowhere and take the lead?

Auburn has sucked lately. Besides Cams season, what have they been? They’ve been through as many coaches as we have. Bottom line…go where you want. Get kids who are dying to be Canes.

Of course he's a talent, but he's already quit us once. Is he dedicated to be a great QB or make nil $$? We'll see...
 
qb recruiting is really hit or miss and not nearly as important as it used to be.

top qb's were already transferring near 50% and that was befor the portal boom, now it's going to be epic levels. not concerned about rashada choosing to go to turdville

would take him back in a heartbeat though just for the satisfaction of seeing the implosion on the gator forums

Couldn’t agree more. But I’m fine with a kid like
Him, or Lew doing what they wanna do. Just like I’m happy Horton is with the good guys. I’m all for letting these kids do their thing and ending up ( hopefully ) with kids who wanna work, and have the same core values as Mario. Guys who wanna work love Mario. Kids that Diaz recruited either stunk, or had talent but their whatever the case didn’t play to their rankings. Mario, like Butch, want a certain type of dude.
