Quick thoughts on the first spring practice

D, aside from DT, would you agree there's enough talent across the defense that it should be a top 25 unit?

Aside from McDermott being a disappointment at center, Gall has the makeup, the intensity, the ******* nastiness, to be a beast of a center. A few of us had that discussion when he was going through the recruitment process.

I know we have seen some senior lineman make huge strides but we have to have someone push Shane, like Wheeler did last year. Wheeler changed everything for us.

Ryan Williams is the head clear cut starter right now. Olsen still seems a step back. But he also made some nice throw. William completed mostly all of his passes. Even in the mini scrimmage he threw the deep ball to Kidd for 30 yards and Scott for 40. He also called a couple good audibles.

I'm genuinely excited to see what this offense will do. Williams will complete the throws that Morris should have and use the middle of the field. Game manager that puts the ball in the hands of his playmakers.

Duke has heisman type numbers, Coley will be in the running for the Biletnikoff, and Walford will make some money by shooting up the draft board.

Guess the defense didn't show much....

Can some one at the scrimmage answer this question please, did the offense still look towards the sideline for the plays to be called? During the bowl game Ville would not get in their defensive set until they knew the play was called in on offense.

Did Tracy say it like "Sh*t!" Or was it more like "Sheeeeit" ?

The LBs and DBs are starting to look like Miami. But there are still too many stumpy JAGs on the DL. That unit just doesn't look right. I remember going to Greentree in the early 2000s, and those groups were so much longer and more athletic. Wyche, Thomas and Moten can't get here soon enough.

Gus is 235 now and perryman is 245. I dont like perryman that big at only 6". Cj mosley was a all american playing at 235 in the 3-4 at ilb.

One more note on practice: they were playing Wu-Tang over the speakers.

That's one area where we're definitely trending upward.

This is true. Kid went to a party not too long ago and literally started throwing guys into a bonfire.

Totally uncool, but definitely nasty.
