Under Mandy X was clowned as a teachers pet. Under Mario he is leading others to early film study. We still have a horrible penalty problem, but the overall culture of working is far better under Wario.

For the most part, everywhere he's gone his defensive operation has been pretty dang good. That is his system and he can sell it. Mario not being the orchestrator of either side of the ball certainly hurts his sales pitch.

Yes. They didn’t hire Mario for 10 win seasons that end without reaching his conference championship game. They hired him to win the ACC at the least. He continues to have horrible loses yearly. Would you seriously consider continuing to pay for underperforming/underachieving

Pretty good defense until it came to games mattered like his 7 years here. Not being able to recruit a lb without a pulse as a coach that specializes in it shouldve told fans enough.

well, he found success at Penn St. he learned how to run a program there. It's pretty clear.
He also has found immediate results at Duke, however, they played half the schedule vs backups or QBs that got benched lol

It just doesn't make sense to bring up Manny imo.

I dont know where the "boosters are backing out" rumors are coming from but I dont mind pulling back on spending big money on HS recruits not at the level of "Jeremiah Smith" type impact. I am hoping that is what is going on. Use your NIL budget on portal kids who can help us immediately. There isnt one kid on our recruiting class or that was on our radar that could help us beat ND in Game 1 next season. I am not even convinced Hanks and Pickett could do it at CB. JMO. That needs to be the focus..what roster do we need to construct to get us ready to beat ND on Labor day weekend.

I've said this on this site before but if they want people who aren't big boosters to actively contribute they need to create fund raising style goals to monitor, track, and celebrate. The problem with NIL is nobody, outside of a few connected people, know how much money we have, how much money we need, what the financial situation is at all.

Canesinsight should be acting like a booster and saying, "Miami, you can count on us for $XXXXXX every year". We'll make sure of it. And then Dmoney and crew should put up a tracker and let the site see how we're doing. You don't even need dollars, you could use percentages. It's much more likely to get someone to donate to reach a goal then to throw money into the abyss.

It's not a rumor, it's just me asking a question. Cause in **most** instances, if a class seems to be tearing apart a little, you usually see that team "overpay" to either keep a kid committed or to land another big commit. For optics reason.

Now I agree that if they're holding back investments just for the portal, then I'm cool with that. Cause the defense needs 9 starters? Plus depth. And we're obviously replacing QB and WR1.

It's wait and see for sure.

Let’s see what happens with DC. Let’s see how the portal plays out. Mario has improved our floor. Trenches are much, much better. Rb situation seems very good. Young WRs are good. Defensive talent in the portal is strong and will get stronger. Mario will always do dumb gameday ****. He is who he is.

The portal is more important this cycle between the secondary and offensive skill talent.

If we get immediate contributors to help us beat ND and UF, the optics of our 2024 season improve tremendously.
