Question about the Booster?

Realizing that Mario is a **** coach and that they’ve opened up their wallets, yet again for the wrong guy. Taking note that even with the best offense in country by a mile, we couldn’t make to the ACC Championship game. Nvm win it but couldn’t even make there smh

What the **** are they doing right now?

We just went 10-2. Any other program that goes 10-2, they'd be getting back with $$$$ to acquire talent.

If they don't want to put up $ for the recruiting class, then they **** sure better be ready to cut the check for top portal players.
Are you contributing?

So they're bailing after a 10-2 season? Seems ******* reasonable.

Yes. They didn’t hire Mario for 10 win seasons that end without reaching his conference championship game. They hired him to win the ACC at the least. He continues to have horrible loses yearly. Would you seriously consider continuing to pay for underperforming/underachieving

Nobody serious is bailing after a 10-2 season. The only people that think that are mopes who need this team to suck, so they have one thing in their life that's more miserable than they are.

The fact is that admin is - for the first time - aligned on supporting the FB program. Now, there are definitely some donors (wouldn't call them our biggest or anything) that aren't upping their contributions. There are ways to offset that though.

Norvell went 10-3 and lost to every ranked team they played. And FSU backed him with money. So yes, I would give money for another year. Unless they wanna go pay his buyout instead and do this whole cycle again

That's what I'm confused about. It's been stated that the new president cares about the football program being good. Well, where is the $ to back this? If they want to go the portal route, that's fine. I'll wait and see. But if they don't hit big in the portal, then they're a ******* joke

Friends…let us not get hostile to one another. We are all brothers here made by the same creator. Love is all we need. Don’t you realize this university is happy to be an 8-4 or 9-3 team year in and year out so long as we are good people in the community and we have a high graduation rate…remember, we are the “Stanford of the South”. Carry on…

I was feeling good this morning. Not about the Canes, just in general. Your statement being laced with facts, punched me in the back of my neck.

If he was is his 250 dollars a year going to help us land a difference maker? These classes are separated by what 5-10 million? The guys who insisted we hire Mario should pony up for that. We could have kept Mandy Diaz at 4m per year and used the 6m offset for difference makers at this rate.
That's my point. NIL and buying players has become a ridiculous thing, a battle amongst billionaires and multi-millionaires....and it's just funny to see fans so heated about what boosters will/will not pony up for a college sport. Most of them work in the shadows anyway, so we'll never really know. This isn't owners in the NFL, revenue sharing and earning money hand over fist every year. This is college sports, where now you must beg rich people to buy players with little to no ROI on that investment. Some will, some won't. I'm not going to sit here and get ****ed or ask where the rich boosters are and why they aren't spending. It's not my money and let's be honest, it's probably not the best investment for most, unless they are bored and enjoy playing in the CFB sandbox.

This is parody, right?

While I agree with your main point, teams are good or bad because of coaching and talent. They tied us into our coach who can’t coach. If we are not going to care about money they contribute to recruiting we might as well not care about roster construction and or the team in general. This whole site would be pointless.

They may work in the shadows but the results of their spending are very public

I guess old money rich people think different than me, which is why they stay rich. If I had hundreds of millions, I'd allocate a couple dozen million, set up a fund to use the money it makes yearly to fund the NIL. Get a few of my buddies to do the same and my ROI would be watching a competitive football team 14 Saturdays a year. This comes with understanding some years will be better than others.

Both can’t recruit without NIL in todays world and both can’t coach on gameday. The difference is about 50 million in salary.
Under Mandy X was clowned as a teachers pet. Under Mario he is leading others to early film study. We still have a horrible penalty problem, but the overall culture of working is far better under Wario.
