Everything in life is relative. I'd take him after I offered 5-6 million to Mateer.

I think they wanted to give Emory a shot to show something. It’s a meaningless bowl, I’m sure he’s a great kid and the team likes him and all that, so he got his shot . But now he’s showed us he’s not the one and will likely be moving on if I had to guess.

Well then they should have gave him one quarter. That would have been enough. We win the game and give him the shot. Best of both worlds. But no, we screwed that up too.

I thought that too, but it appears it applies to anyone playing in bowl games today onward, add +5 days after bowl. So Hoover/Becht/Robertson dreams not totally dead yet

It's possible and I'm not completely writing him off as a passer due to how gimmicky that offense is. Like I said, I would 100% pursue him after I did everything on the planet to court Mateer.
