Waiting around until post spring hoping someone worth a **** jumps in is a fireable offense for Mario. Anyone with a brain knew Emory was dog**** and he just sat on his hands after we just had the best offense in college football mainly due to the best QB in the country.
It's the only choice that exists. That's the downside of swinging and missing on the only really good QB in the first window.
For the record, going after Mateer was not only the right thing to do but I find it irresponsible by the program to not make him an astronomical offer he couldn't refuse. I would argue they didn't go after him hard ENOUGH.
Mateer was the blank check guy. Now you have no choice but to wait for the second window to see if someone like Drones has a change of heart.
