It was neither. But just heard he’s leaving a bunch of money on the table and staying put. Sucks. I guess we’re pivoting to Beck. Won’t say who it was just yet, in case he has a change of heart.
I heard he's locked in with FSU actually.

How does he compare to beck?

He had 28 Total TDs 3000 yards and led duke to a 9-3 record. That would be like a Top 3 QB season for us in the last 15 years.

Duke cut his NIL lower then what it was. So Duke was all happy when he left and ponce on their top choice

What impressed me the most about Ward was his leadership. He's a special player, we'll see a lot of him in the NFL. I have nothing but love for Cam Ward and like I said, I was all in on him this time last year when very few were.

My point was just you look for someone with that kind of toolbox - the release, the accuracy, the mechanics, the quick decisions - Ewers is the only one who's talked about in the portal who has that kind of top round NFL skillset like Cam had. That was the only point I was getting to. Nothing against Medoza either, I just don't see that same ceiling with him as I do Ewers or did with Cam

People are conflating talent-level with skill-set; Ewers has the skillset to run Dawson's offense at a very high level. Can he make some of the eye-popping throws? No; but he can check down and stay on time, which Cam had problems doing consistently. Cam chased the big play over the routine too often, and people are underestimating how consistently making routine plays can be more effective than occasional spectacular ones.

Pulling the ball on an RPO, then getting it out quickly and accurately without resetting your feet is something Ewers and Cam do very well. That body control and off-platform ability gets the ball to playmakers with an extra millisecond and means the difference between a contested catch vs YAC; subtleties like these are all over Ewers' film and should be the primary basis of QB/scheme comps. Their similarities in skillset are undeniable.

Hopefully we get to see Ewers run the offense and take us further than Cam.

I heard Ewers has several $$$$ offers from B1G teams (over $4m).
Is that something we are willing to spend?

Unlike many I'm don't have a negative view of Ewers and feel he could be very productive here, but at the same time he's not the superstar he was projected to be earlier in his career, and probably doesn't warrant that level of money. But if those doing the deals have the money and want to spend it on him, I won't complain unless it means cutting back on other positions of need
